BTDT. Funny story, my tutor thought he could "talk with trees"... He also developed the notion that he could communicate telepathically with me. Needless to say, it wasn't long before I turned our one-on-one sessions into a study group.

I'm out of goalposts but that professor sounds like a moron. Let me guess, did he teach botany, art, literature, or anthropology?

That wasnt my math professor. That was my tutor (who, interestingly, was only slightly more creepy than the professor himself).

P.S. the same professor also taught "Humanties"... So yeah, you're not exactly off track.
