He had to call an ambulance. I'm terrified for him because he has autism and has severe sensory issues; he must be so overwhelmed right now with all of the nurses prodding at him. Since he's non-verbal it's doubly stressful when these things happen, as we cannot know for sure what his exact symptoms are as he can't express them like you or I can. (They're still doing tests; he's been sick with the flu, like I was, but I'm so worried-- people have died from the flu this year. If something were to happen to him it would destroy me.)
Really sorry to hear that, Chio. Hope everything works out okay. Keep us updated as you can. Thinking of you.

Got my Windows installation disk, tried Repair. You're joking, mate! Finally had no choice to but to totally reinstall Windows, which meant reinstalling all my old programmes, getting the likes of Spotify back up running and basically being a big pain in the arse. Finally finished about 3am.

I tell you, I've ****ing had it with Windows. I'm now looking into Linux, because I am tired of being subject to the tyranny of Microsoft and their ****ty system, but it (Linux) looks very daunting. I know I spoke of this before, but if anyone has any practical advice for me vis a vis Linux I'll be happy to talk to you.

Aside: having no other choice after reinstalling Windows I had to use Internet Explorer to get online. It tells me it's out of date, and I have to download the latest version, 11. So I do that, and what happens? "Microsoft has protected you by blocking this download"!!!! ****ing thick ****s blocked THEIR OWN SOFTWARE from downloading! Says it all really. Now SP1 won't install for me. **** you, Bill Gates. **** you to hell and back. I'm done with you. As soon as I can, you're getting kicked to the kerb.

(Ten years later, Trollheart says to himself: "I really should look into Linux. This is the tenth time this year I've had to reinstall"....)

I was wondering what happened to you, Trolls. I thought something had happened. Yeah, Microsoft is a pain in the butt, especially now that they want to update Windows 10 every three hours. I don't even have my computer enabled to look for updates anymore. Linux isn't really an option in the US. I'm assuming it's a no frills OS.

Anyhow, glad to see you're still around. I think I killed the guess your song thread (I won again yesterday).

You and your friends should take Microsoft out to a field and beat it with baseball bats.

Oh wait, you won't get that reference because you suck.

Yeah it just knocked me off for the whole day. I could, if I had to, go on via my phone but unless it's absolutely vital I don't do that. I hate using the tiny screen and it's never fun. I definitely need an alternative to Windows. Especially now that I can't get SP1 to install, which means I can't install Paint.Net, which I use a fair bit. But the whole file structure, and even way of working with Linux is so alien, I'm very wary of trying it. I'll do what I always do no doubt: swear I'm finished with Windows but be too lazy/scared/busy to learn a whole new OS, so stick with it till I have another meltdown, make the same promise after that, rinse and repeat.

I don't think you killed the thread by the way; you said you were going to bed so nobody bothered guessing. It'll pick up again I'm sure.
