Fables had some really great tracks, like Driver 8 and Can't Get There From Here. I absolutely love the Peter Buck's jangley Rickenbacker on Kohoutek.

The Athens scene was incredible. REM was very influenced by both the B-52s and Pylon. They even did a cover of Crazy on Dead Letter Office (as I just noticed Nea mention). This was a good choice, Occult. REM is my second favorite band next to the Beatles. Best albums: Murmur, Reckoning, and Automatic For the People. Favorite tracks: So. Central Rain and Everybody Hurts. Maybe I'll post So. Central Rain later after I'm done playing with Spotify.

It’s so sentimental and vulnerable you almost feel embarrassed for them

but then it falls back on something very powerful...
