What does being a woman have to do with boarding a plane? As long as she's not a Chechen, who cares? Silly Russia.

WWWP 10-16-2020 12:59 AM

I'm not able to talk about it with anyone else so excuse me but

Spoiler for dear diary:
Omfg why did I waste so much time with men, girls are where it's at for real.

But also like why are all the lesbian stereotypes true lol. I've been seeing someone for about 5 weeks now (covertly until I can move out mid-November) and things are moving QUICKLY in the feelings department. Shes teaching me a lot about tarot and astrology lol. I vowed a year of celibacy that covid made really easy on me and that timer's about up... after that is taken care of, not gonna lie, I see uhauls in my near future lol.

Marie Monday 10-16-2020 01:47 AM

 That's wonderful! And probably the more you get into it, the more you're gonna ask yourself why you didn't do this sooner. But hey, you found out while you're still young; some people never do (or they do but waste lots of time anyway, but enough about me). Oh and do some tarot for us if you get skilled at it, if it's possible to do that online!

rostasi 10-16-2020 10:37 AM

aaaah, reminds me of my younger days when emotions overruled any rational thought...

Marie Monday 10-16-2020 02:53 PM

^?

@WWWP don't excuse yourself btw, I think every queer person really longs to share their experiences and to relate to others. That's why I'm happy to see you talk about this

Send your ex a nude and then be like "oops".

I guess they're all gay shirts if you want them to be. IDK how to express your sexuality, I'm not even gay.

Marie Monday 10-16-2020 03:34 PM

That's true. Any shirt is a gay shirt if I'm wearing it

I might too tbh. We'll see how I feel after a few beers.

Marie Monday 10-16-2020 04:15 PM

I shouldn't because I went on a t-shirt and book buying spree lately, but I'm tempted. We'll see how I feel after a few more cups of tea in my case

Omg that will take some time. There are a lot of people who stream/post readings on Youtube, some with the moon cycles, some weekly. There's so much to know, it's endless. But I can show you the very basics!

It's because women are much more effective communicators and better in tune with their emotions and know what they want and how to ask for it so we really get to just breeze by all that bullshit. U mad?

Aw thanks Marie. Eventually I will be able to talk about it freely irl but as I'm still living with my ex for exactly the next four weeks I'm trying to be respectful and not gush to all of our mutual friends about it. But once I don't have to face the consequences of that I'm oversharing with errrrrrybody.

Watch Vision of Escaflowne. It's got tarot cards. It's got steampunk feudal robot battles. It's got Isaac Newton. It's lit.

jwb 10-16-2020 06:08 PM

Roxy does tarot cards. She read my future pretty accurately. Of course my future was probably especially easy to read.

Ha! Easily stirred aren't you? You're sociological observations could potentially be close to accurate, but it apparently doesn't appear to apply in this case.
My point was that, generally, when you are young and in love (male or female), the emotional bond or need ("...things are moving QUICKLY in the feelings department...")
sometimes overwhelms the rational thought of one's actions ("...tarot and astrology..."). It's not a men vs. women issue.

jwb 10-16-2020 06:37 PM

^damn

Shut her ass down quick didn't ya

Current thread score:
Men 1 women 0

Not my intention.
I’m just relaying what I’ve noticed thru the years.
I congratulate anyone on finding a new love.

Now, I’m gonna get back to watching Mary Halvorson’s
40th birthday live celebration (with Thumbscrew).

nighty night...

You know, while it didn't take me that much time to figure out I was gay (18 isn't so bad) it did take me quite some time to do something about it, and people kept telling me how I'm wasting my time but even now looking back I don't feel an ounce of regret for how everything went. It was just how it was supposed to go, the time I "wasted" was the time I needed to figure things out. It all came together to bring me where I am today, and I am very happy so...:)

I don't defend it, it is what it is. Just like tarot cards, I take what I want from it and forget the rest. There are certainly some things that have been scarily accurate, but it's more of a tool to find meaning within yourself, not a crystal ball.

I appreciate that, adi. When it's a process of self-discovery I would feel the same, but I can't be positive about my own case like that. I knew when I was 15 and didn't come out until I was 20. I wasn't even growing or figuring things out, I was just locked up inside my own head.
It doesn't bother me much though, I was pretty comfortable inside the closet (probably too much so) and like for you everything turned out fine in the end, that's what's important of course

jwb 10-17-2020 02:17 PM

Honestly I think I was actually "straight" before age 14 or so. Certain experiences turned me bi.

I know that's not the usual way of thinking about it but that's how it feels from my POV.

I don't believe sexuality is static.

WWWP 10-17-2020 02:50 PM

Were you straight or were you conditioned to be so?

I have no way of knowing the difference

I felt no attraction towards men is all I know

Are people who still consider themselves straight actually straight or are they conditioned to be straight? What's the difference between them and 13 year old me?
