Have you picked up Super Mario Galaxy? Metroid Prime 3? I'd recommend those if you haven't. They both have great visuals and are very well thought-out games.

You're not required to use the wiimote, but the option is out there because dammit some of us do like the wiimote. Quote:

Whats wrong with games for kids? Many of the greatest games of all time were for kids. |

I'd also like to point out the irony of how most "kids" games of the 8 and 16 bit era are significantly more challenging than most of todays adult games.
Games are getting too easy these days. |

And I've got all of what are considered the best games for the wii... mario galaxy, mario kart, legend of zelda, smash bros, metroid prime 3, animal crossing etcetc but I just want something more now... most of these games are good for like, half an hour every now and again, but I wouldnt say anything too engrossing. Mario Galaxy was a doddle to complete, and I would go on to get every star but I've had enough of it now... I'm not a completist. And with Legend of Zelda, I dunno... I don't feel that engaged because I'm just essentially playing a Gamecube title, and I don't want that. I'm just being picky now. But what DOES really piss me off is the price of these controllers. To use the traditional method of buying them, actually going to the shops and not buying off the ****ing internet, it costs you £60 for the wiimote and the numchuk. Just one set. If the Wii is so geared towards whole family fun, then why the **** have the controllers that expensive... who would ever by 4 numchuks and wiimotes at these prices... |
Brawl and Galaxy are insanely addictive and TP is excellent.
I love the use of the wiimote for Galaxy and TP, it sucks for Brawl though. |
I pretty much bought the Wii for Brawl. Completed it in 2 days, took the days off college, got far too into it. Probably one of my more embarassing decisions.

2009 seems to be about bringing more adult/mature titles to Wii.
So far we've got: http://static.gamecrazy.com/images/g...xart/13718.jpg and in the near future: the incredibly violent Madworld: http://www.wiitalia.it/screenshots/c...08.jpg_592.jpg The Conduit, which is expected to rival 360 and PS3 FPS games: http://www.gamoholic.net/images/stor...heConduit5.jpg They're making a Dead Space rail-shooter game for Wii as well, but I'm expecting that to blow. |
I'm not one for violent games, but how can I pass up MadWorld? The style looks amazing, it's by the people behind the greatest game (Okami).
And right now I'm revisiting my DS, so mainly The World Ends With You, Ouendan 1/2, and Elite Beat Agents. |

Sega's best days may be behind them, but I've said it time and time again.

World of Illusion.
A lot of the old Sega and Capcom developed Disney games were really good. Quack Shot and Aladdin for the Genesis, Ducktales and Chip 'n Dale's Rescue Rangers for the NES and Disney's Magical Quest for SNES. Disney have handled their video game licensing a lot better than most. |
Started playing Halo 2 again. I forgot how much fun it was...brings back the memories of LAN parties at the house, cold pizza, and drinking way more Coke and Pineapple Fanta than anyone should ever consume.

I recently got the Orange Box and Garry's Mod for my Pc and have been playing that alot in the past week now. I didn't really want to get it for the 360, because then I would be missing out on all of the community created content, and the better community for Team Fortress 2. My friend tried playing TF2 on the 360 recently, and the community has that general 360 online community "meh" to it and not many people play it. All of that, plus Garry's Mod, and the lower price makes up for the fact that I have to sacrifice the shinier 360 graphics (my Pc can't run most of the games on higher settings).
Besides that, games like Left 4 Dead, Halo 3, and Battlefield: Bad company are always fun to play with friends. Quote:

Kay I just downloaded Ocarina Of Time for Wii Virtual Console. I suck at it and it's boring so far (even though I pretty much just started). I can't figure out how to attack those flower things.
I'll give it a chance though. Anyways, what virtual console/Wiiware games should I get next? I have 1000 wii points left, and I already have Mario 1 and 3, as well as Kirby's Adventure for VC. |
GTA4.
Pretty sweet. |

Eh... I'll figure it out. I was tired last night, so maybe that's why it was boring.
