@big3 - horde

@storymilo - I played a ret for the majority of WOTLK. I really didn't like the cata ret changes so I went warrior.

I'm not really adverse to warrior, though I may just go prot paladin. Which type would you recommend for warrior?

debaserr 12-11-2010 12:45 PM

I'm leveling as fury and probably switching to arms for PVP endgame(retaining fury for PVE DPS).

tanking as a warrior isn't bad either.

any class you choose will be effective at any role you choose to do with it.

TheBig3 12-11-2010 02:06 PM

I think I'm going DK as my new main. I hated them last expansion because everyone had one, but I'm hoping they've cooled down slightly.

storymilo 12-12-2010 11:05 AM

Another year but... I'm excited. A lot.

Hell yeah! The sequel to the second best game of all time :yeah: I want gameplay footage!

I still have to play the Fallouts though

I want footage too. I wonder how long we're going to have to wait before anything else comes out, cause this is literally all there is on the game.

And yeah, Fallout 3 and New Vegas are both great. Pretty different from the elder scrolls, but still incredible games. I haven't played Fallout 1 or 2 though.

Both are utterly brilliant games and RPG classics :)

You can get them cheap from Good Old Games too!

Fallout on GOG.com

TheBig3 12-12-2010 05:22 PM

Going back to WoW for a hot sec. How much space does Cata (no mods) take up. I'm praying to god I can fit it on this comp.

Hm... that is cheap. There's actually a bunch of games they're selling that I could use, and they all look to be in the lower price range. How enticing... a bulk christmas gift, perhaps?

Thanks for the link :)

What I've Been Playing:

http://cdn.husin.net/wp-content/uplo...f-Chaos-PC.jpg

Planning on starting a WoW character soon, so I figured I'd get into the world by going back to Warcraft 3. It's a fun game if you like RTS's and it's interesting just thinking about the story in the context of what I now know about World of Warcraft. playing as arthas in the campaign is a little creepy.

Sooooo good. The best is easily Super Mario Bros 3 though

Computergames dude ;)

I wouldn't say picking between the 2d Mario's is an easy choice. They are all top notch.

Guybrush 12-13-2010 04:50 PM

For me, it's Super Mario World! Super Mario Bros 1, 2 and 3 were good of course and we played them a lot (especially nr. 3), but I remember when the Super Nintendo was new. I wanted one so much and the game that came with it was of course Super Mario World. I wanted that super nintendo more than I'd ever wanted anything and when I got it, I played the crap out of Super Mario World, Legend of Zelda : A Link to the Past and also eventually, Super Metroid .. The three best games for the console. ;)

debaserr 12-13-2010 05:05 PM

there has been a great 2d platforming revival on the wii. I've had lots of fun with these in particular:

I demand you get the new Kirby game. It's for the good of all that's living.

debaserr 12-13-2010 06:12 PM

I have it, it puts me to sleep. I want to die in my videogames.

s_k 12-13-2010 06:21 PM

Wii's are still a bit expensive.
I'll have one some time :).
(I always buy consoles second hand when they're dead cheap)

RVCA 12-14-2010 01:38 AM

I got it on Xbox last Christmas and played it to death, and I was delighted today (just after finishing my desktop build) to see that it was 75% off on Steam, so I immediately re-bought it. It's even better now that I'm not confined to using a console controller and my rig can handle it on max settings. Great fun.

Game of my childhood, still incredibly fun.

This, I'm just getting into. My old laptop couldn't handle it, even on the lowest settings. I've heard nothing but great things about it.

Eh, I have to say, L4D2 is superior to L4D1 in literally every way... except the new characters suck. They don't say memorable things, they're ugly, and it looks like they were designed by 12 year olds with only a 6-pack of vibrant crayons.

Same here. I still remember the countless hours I spent playing at the local Internet Café. We would gather a bunch of friends and head to play some counter strike, all in the same room, so intense!

I miss those days : (
Now all I have is Xbox Live : (

Disagree.

Ellis is my favorite character out of the series.

Bought one of these bad boys yesterday, although it's a gift for someone else. :(

i love my wii emulators. i run many nes, snes, n64, and genesis games. I also have a method to play gamecube games on it.

but you get the added bonus of that extremely ergonomic controller.

Yeah I play all the oldschool games on my Wii, but I wish I still had all my old consoles :( I sold them when I moved out, dangnabbit!

debaserr 12-14-2010 07:57 PM

I certainly don't miss using this thing:

http://n64controller.org/wp-content/...controller.jpg

although I do still have my n64...

Kirby 12-14-2010 10:59 PM

That's the worst controller ever made.

That being said, N64 will always have some of my favorite games, and I wouldn't mind using a controller that was made for someone with three hands to play them again. I actually just found this the other day

I've already beaten it before but this game is pure awesome. It's got possibly the best story I've ever seen in a video game, especially the twist with Atlas. Has anyone played Bioshock 2, and if so, how'd it compare to the original? I think I might get it.

Key 12-15-2010 10:12 PM

Tetris off the xbox arcade.

Haha, honestly I didn't care for the Atlas "would you kindly" stuff. It actually pissed me off more than anything. Cool game though, I haven't played the second installment myself but it looks as good as the first.

What didn't ya like about it?

I totally didn't expect it. Atlas seemed so real, like he actually wanted to help. Guess I'm just gullible. :D

Very cool game, atmosphere is top notch. It's a rare game where the actual gameplay is kind of mediocre but the mood, atmosphere, and story more than make up for it for me.

Not as good as the first one I can say that.
If you really want to get a good experience, play the second as soon as you can, the long wait in between the time that Bioshock 2 came out really took away from the gameplay. I must say it was insanely easy, went through it in one night. The ending for these games are fantastic, and it actually kind of scares the **** out of you sometimes. Definitly a rent game if you can, wouldn't recommend buying it though.

The multiplayer was a good attempt, but they should stick to making kick ass campaign on the next one.

Kirby 12-15-2010 10:34 PM

Bioshock 2 wasn't as good as the first, in my opinion.

midnight rain 12-15-2010 10:36 PM

I guess that figures. I think Bioshock took a lot of people off guard, while 2 was expected to be awesome. Sucks that it sounds really short though...
