It's not that short actually.
I just bust through games in all nighters. |
^Im the same way. I beat both Fable II and Fable III in like...2 weeks, for both. Fable II took a couple days, and Fable III took longer only because I hadn't been playing games too often.

I actually felt that BioShock 2 improved on the first game in several key ways (hacking, research) without messing up anything that worked in the first game. The story just wasn't as good.
Infinite should be good. |
The story is what I didn't like as much, and that counts a lot.
I will admit, though, the hacking was a hundred times better in Bioshock 2. I'm definitely looking forward to Infinite, though. Also, I've spent hours playing X-Men Arcade today. It's so much fun. |

I first played this in 2007 when it had just come out but found it hard to play because of the TV I was using at the time. It was only 13 inches so some of the text and map were hard to read. Now that I've got a much larger TV to use for gaming I am finding that I continue to have the same problems that I had when I first played it and that problem is I am a crappy assassin. It doesn't matter how careful I try to be, I always get spotted right before I try and kill my target and end up having to finish the target off in a duel. I never really had this problem in other stealth games like Hitman: Blood Money or Splinter Cell: Double Agent but I suppose if you strip me of all the cool weapons and gadgets of the 21st century and plonk me in the 12th century Holy Land it's to be expected. Not that the citizens seem too bothered by my actions, but it makes me feel less accomplished. Still the free running is a lot of fun and incredibly exhilarating after you've completed your hit and have to run back to your bureau with crusaders on your ass. I also have a bit more of an appreciation for the story at this later date than I did when it first came out, but I still have no love for the tedious pickpocketing, eavesdropping, save citizen, and observation quests that make up 95% of the game. Still I think I will finish it this time and move on to Assassin's Creed II and eventually that new DLC disguised as a full game. |

Oh and I found Hitman 2 at least to be way to harder to be stealthy then ACII, not sure about first one though. Hitman was a little TOO hard to achieve the silent assassin rating, even the first mission. Lot's of frustration as a result of that awesome game. |
I played and beat the first Assassin's Creed in 07, and honestly, don't remember **** about it.
All I have left in the second AC is to find all of the feathers. I'll probably do that in the next week. |
The beta version of Minecraft comes out on the 20th. :tramp:

On the final playthrough of Bayonetta (Non-Stop Climax).

Metal Gear Solid and LittleBigPlanet are the only reasons I'm really thinking about a PS3.

I just started on Fallout : New Vegas. I hear it's good and I love the previous Fallout 3 where I also got some of the addons, so I excited :D

And yeah I can't wait for beta. I read he's putting some kind of "adventure mode" in, where it's more about the surviving and exploring than the building. But maybe that's for a later update. |
Fallout New Vegas. It's okay, fairly enjoyable but not up to par with Fallout 3.
|
Waiting for the Fallout: New Vegas add-on tomorrow.
A couple games I'm playing now: Ninja Gaiden 2 (starting on it again, soon. It's ****ing harrrrrrrrd) Red Faction: Guerrila Halo: Reach Army of Two: The 40th Day (or, as I call it, Army of Two: Two) |

Anyone else looking forward to Dead Space 2? |
Me! Popular Mechanics ran an article about the baddies in Dead Space 2. Apparently, the Visceral design team went through a bunch of pictures of real people gored and torn to bits to help them design their monsters. They kept their "research" at the office in a carefully stashed folder, labeled "CAUTION: EXTREMELY GRAPHIC"

None of my RL friends have played it through though, which annoys me a little :p: I've had noone to discuss it with. |
Fresh out of an extended Resident Evil 4 binge, I was sure no other survival-horror game would ever compare in quality. Then I played Dead Space, which was basically RE4 in space. Fantastic score and atmosphere, very solid gameplay, and the most important part, it really made you feel like a survivor, not Rambo blasting through zombies like a hot knife through butter.
I think my main complaint about Dead Space was the lack of boss battles. IIRC, there were two real boss fights (maybe three), including the final boss. Killing the same necromorphs over and over does get tedious, even when the situation is changing. One thing RE4 did exceptionally well was pushing the intense, difficult, and interesting boss battles onto you at the perfect pace. |
I had fun with Resident Evil 4, but I much prefer Dead Space actually. Resident Evil 4 with it's many tacky characters and so on just seemed a bit too cheesy and anime-ish to be creepy I thought. Dead Space had more suspense and atmosphere .. and I often felt alone with the monsters in that game if you know what I mean. I love that!

Have to say, the guy's normal furnishings weren't all that impressive though. |
There's a youtube vid where a guy has a 1:1 scale USS Enterprise in Minecraft. He must've been able to import the model to the minecraft level creator from some other program I'm sure, but how it's done I don't know.

What is the best class of WoW to start off as, as a noob? I'm thinking either Hunter or Mage...

The hunter is ridiculously easy to play after a while. Any hunter is like a small team. It's a pet class where you tame pets that follow you and fight for you, so in any fight, your pet will do the tanking which means it'll be the one up close to the enemy taking the damage. The hunter will be a little distance away, doing damage and healing their pet. So, you have a tank, healer and damage dealer, all in one character. At the same time it's easy, there's enough going on to keep it interesting so it's a fun class to play in my opinion. In groups, they always fill the basic role of damage dealers. Paladin is also fun if you like to be up in monsters faces. Since they have healing, they can take quite a bit of beating and they're able to fill all team roles (healer/tank/damage) which may be attractive at some point. However, being a tank/healer in groups when you're a complete newb may be a little more intimidating than simply playing a dps class. |
