I liked one of his songs and can't remember which it is, so he can be whatever he wants.

As with anything, if you're awesome at what you do you can usually get away with being a jerk. If you're pretty good to good, you usually can't. If you're average to below-average, nobody really cares.

not a fan, it p!ssed me off a bit to see him at the blues festival alongside actual blues artists like Ray Charles, he just didn't cut the mustard.
