I hope you didn't put stock in him. I liked the character a lot, but he was living just to die.

Then it was just another drug binge. Call me when you come to your senses and root for a real champion.

Spoiler for Ep8:
Oberyn could of easily defeated The Mountain if he didn't get carried away with all that justice talk. His head was ripe for the taking. What an idiotic end to a short-lived great character.

edit: Also, Arya's reaction made me laugh so hard.

Spoiler for yep:
I don't know if I would go so far as to say idiotic but he pretty much died like a villain that goes on those long winded speeches and end up biting the dust because of it.

Spoiler for some srs thoughts:
I just thought it was such piss poor judgement on his part that eventually got him killed. I know he was trying to expose the truth of the crime, but he let his guard down big time... and around The Mountain. Who does that in Westeros? :P

Bronn pretty much had the right idea. "Maybe I could take him. Dance around until he's so tired of hacking at me he drops his sword, get him off his feet somehow... but one misstep, and I'm dead."

I'm just behind on the books because I like to keep ahead with the show. So I don't know the fate of The Mountain yet.
