Days got REALLY rough at some points. I remember one mission in Wonderland where you had to take out one of the things that looked like this:

But it was really big and moved REALLY fast and you couldn't combo it at all because it wouldn't stagger, and it took me like three hours just to kill the damn thing.

A lot of the missions were pretty bland but I still liked Days quite a bit, especially because I really dug the story and thought the ending was quite surprising and well done.

Oh yes, I remember that level, and it did indeed suck.
Actually, I don't think it or chain of memories was the best: I agree with you that I think KH2 was the best.

I felt as though Kojima was pandering to the fans who were disappointed with MGS2, and while it still worked perfectly fine, it just didn't have the same pull that 2 had because of that IMO.
Yeah MGS3 wasn't much better, but it wasn't anywhere near as annoying as 2 was. MGS2 annoyed me because if you tried to go back to areas that you went through previously, the enemies were back! That irritated the **** out of me, especially when you had to defuse the bombs and it took hours for me to find all of them.

The length of some of the cutscenes was just awful! Like I don't need to hear the same thing repeated like five times. I legit started to just skip the cutscenes after a few hours through the game, and I didn't have any trouble following the storyline without them.

It was just the perfect game at the perfect time.
Things I liked about Halo 2 and 3:

I agree with Halo 4 being the next best after 1. The campaign was much more a return to form than any of the prior sequels. I liked that it was more serious, sorrowful, and dramatic–especially the cutscenes and voice acting, which I thought were done really really well.

I played the campaign co-op with one of my friends (who I also played the original halo with way back in the day on Xbox) on veteran and that was just so much fun.

I really liked the level where you flew a fighter in space because that was just so new and original.

I could talk about this more but I just seriously think 4 was the next the best after 1. I didn't have any problems with the multiplayer and thought it was really fun. The same goes for Spartan Ops.

Shin megami tensei : Nocturne

Best Rpg ive ever played, it beats FF6 and 7 easily, imo this is the best game of the SMT series.

What system? PSone? I hear alot of praise for that series but never got around to trying any of them. Theere are a bunch of them on the DS.

Chrono Trigger to me is the GOAT, but Dragon Quest VIII definitely comes as a close second. This game is so perfect, everything from the battle system, characters, story and amount of content you get. Ive played through it way too many times yet it always remained fresh.

Nocturne is one the Ps2, it's a great game if you like Rpgs i'll guarantee you'll like it.

i haven't played Dragonquest but i heard it was the best selling rpg in japan at one point and alot of ppl have pointed out it's a great series.

Chrono trigger ive played but i don't think it's amazing as ppl say it is, i think it was a great rpg during the snes era but it's also over hyped as f*ck, it's like earthbound ppl would have you believe they were the greatest thing ever but the snes had FF3 (6) and Breath of fire 2 and Lufia 2 which is one of the best rpgs i played for the snes but it hardly gets any mentions.

I think Chrono trigger has a great premise but the gameplay it's fairly standard for an rpg (excluding the multiple endings concept)

But that's what made Chrono Trigger so brilliant. So far as I know there had never been an RPG, or a game in general, that had such a well-developed and immersive storyline. Everything about that game drew me in from the word go in a way that I don't think has ever been repeated. Maybe that's nostalgia, but it still made a huge impression on me.

@The Batlord

It's a unique game in a way since the story deals with time traveling and multiple possibilities and not alot of rpgs have done that. (can't think of any other rpg that has done it)

But i played the Ps1 version that came with FF5 (i think) and it had anime cutscenes which made the game a little cooler but aside from a few cool things it was fairly standard rpg experience for me, the premise of that game was too big for the capacity of the snes, if that game were a ps2 game it woulda been a masterpiece just by staying true to his premise, but sadly it's a snes game that was too ambitious for it's time and didn't quite deliver (for me)

Now take ff3, just as ambitious as Chrono trigger but they used the Snes format amazingly, way better than Chrono.

They did it so well, FF3 it's regarded by many FF fans as the best FF game.
ive played and finished both games and ff3 was more memorable for me. because though Chrono had a cooler premise, FF3 told his story better.

This so much this, its a game thay left such a impact that no other game could come close to for me.

@black francis
CT had multiple timelines which each had their own story. FF VI had the regular world and the destroyed world. VI also had a much more open ended storyline, it let you kind lf do your own thing. CT while linear went more in to detail and had better characters. The characters and story are way more memorable for me. The soundtrack to Trigger is also incredible.

Breath of fire series is great and I agree its under rated. Ive been playing 2 recently actually haha.

I didn't play through CT until recently, and can confirm that it's not nostalgia, they basically perfected the classic JRPG experience.
