Yeah, like I mentioned before, I'm familiar with some of his stuff. I've never listened to that album though so I may check it out.

Good call on ЕстьЕстьЕсть, Bane! I'm really enjoying that album. Where did you hear of those guys?

Bane of your existence 11-29-2012 11:52 PM

Nice! I have no idea where I heard of them originally. You know how that stuff goes. Random forums, music mags, youtube recommendations, Reddit, live shows... I'm sure it was one of those.

Anyone? :)

I'm sure everyone's getting sick of my plugging this jam, but this "Uneven Compromise" song(?) by Lil Ugly Mane--though the name and his other songs may throw you off (until you look a little closer at his lyrical content)--it's really pretty freaky, at least for how it shifts narratives. If you're looking for Dalek heaviness and dissonance with a southern kind of swagger, i'd say look no further. The beats are mostly rooted in dusty nu jazz in the RZA way or Three 6 Mafia atmosphere and repetition, but just check out how it's executed on this particular song, which I won't post because i don't want to annoy anyone excessively, but it can be found in his thread, where i posted and described it, or on youtube, or on the Lil Ugly Mane bandcamp.

Sorry again, this thing's got me hooked though and i just have to tell the world

Rap/HipHop similar to these songs?

Hey, I'm not much into Rap/Hip Hop, but sometimes i come across some Rap/Hip Hop that I REALLY like, but I have a hard time finding more music similar to the ones I've already found.
I would really like to find more music like Mos Def's songs Mathematics and Hip Hop, Daylight by Aesop Rock and the intro for The Boondocks.

PoorOldPo 12-07-2012 06:00 PM

Dipping my head in here for some new music.

edit: didn't see the post above asking the same question. Yeah I have that comic too, it's pretty good. First read about it in a Game Informer (Yeah, really) where it got a 5 star review by some dorky looking white guy.

Goofle 12-14-2012 07:34 AM

CRUGER

UK Hip Hop act that probably won't blow your socks off, but it's pretty decent.

Cuthbert 12-14-2012 01:45 PM

Do you know much about UK Hip-Hop Goofle?

And are you familiar with Road Rap?

Goofle 12-14-2012 03:56 PM

Nope, not a huge fan generally of UK Hip Hop.

hoof123 12-18-2012 02:25 PM

Have you tried Rhyme Asylum? Quite dark lyrically, but pretty cool at the same time.
