Lol. Because I know it was a good time for indie labels so I made a derisive comment about their state that I didn't really mean. Maybe that's being ironic. I'm too lazy to look it up.

Um...I'd call it being deliberately stupid.

Well, it's black and white so it doesn't really matter. And anyway, Led Zeppelin's debut was in 69 and yet they're a 70's band.

well they had a debut in '69 that was not really a huge hit until the next year so thats why they are considered a 70's band.

You are aware it had pre-orders for 50,000 copies before it was even released , and when it did it spent over 70 weeks in the charts in both the U.S. and the U.K. ?

That doesn't sound like something that's 'not a huge hit until the following year' to me.

I think he's trying to pretend Black Sabbath was actually released in 1969 or something.

well ok, sorry, i didnt really mean to say that it wasnt a huge hit. it was. but the following year more people got into it. more than there was the year before. so i guess i was trying to say is that it became an even bigger hit the year after (though that usually happens with bands anyway)

Every decade had some good tunes, but i think the 70's or 80's was the best.
