Trollheart reminded me of these guys. Heaviness and epicness don't go together enough in metal. I don't know why. More people should learn from the glory of Hammerheart-era Bathory like Doomsword has.

It's been a good long while since I last listened to Stratovarius. I never really delved that far into their discography back then either. I'm gonna have to change that now. They do an amazing job of giving weedly-weedly power metal an energy that it just should not have. Anyone whose idea of power metal is Dragonforce should listen to this band. There are many bands that would show you just how much Dragonforce suck, but Stratovarius will also show them what Dragonforce's sound should REALLy sound like.

Even after all these years, I still can't get through a week without listening to a Styx song or two. Great video as well and a warning to stay off the white stuff for all you kids out there.
