Hey Scots Thanx!- Maybe We Should Have A Nostalgia Thread! (Get Posting!)

I Thought This Track Deserved A Place Here Because It Has The Most Amazing Bass Running Through It, And The Intro Always Makes Me Laugh!

been listening to some rare jams for the first time, some really good stuff:

Pure Energy (sometimes called Hot Streak) - this band was awesome! even if a little obscure, but the music quality is tops! They had an album in 1980, and then several extra singles in the early 80's, up to '84 it looks like. been tryin' to track them all down!

If you love early 80's dance and funk music you must listen to tracks like Too Hot, Party On, When You're Dancin', and Body Work!

Some Great Tracks There!
Roberta Flack's "Don't Make Me Wait Too Long Is One" I have always loved but I don't think it ever received the attention it deserved.
Linx were always over-looked in favour of better- known bands.
Freeez- "Southern Freeez" and Sine- "Just Let Me Do My Thing" are Super- Cool!

"Soothe Me" by Sam & Dave
"Walk On By" by Isaac Hayes
"Red Hot Mama From Louisiana" by Funkadelic
(also just about anything by Funkadelic)

...many others

I'm not very good recalling song names, but I love a little Average White Band, Cameo, Lettuce, Carl Douglas, and Chic.

Currently, my Wednesday Wine nights have been accompanied by Stanton Moore's All Kooked Out.
