My dad today said that Justin Fields is the only good player on the bears, and they need to get better players to help him. So if you're reading bears front office, get on it! lol

They are losing today too, not a good season!

Plankton 01-02-2023 08:18 AM

That poor kid. He's been lucky and hasn't been hurt too bad so far, but watching some of those plays made me wince a little. I turned it off after the 3rd quarter.

WWWP 01-02-2023 07:35 PM

Please tell me I didn’t just watch Damar Hamlin snap his neck and die on live tv….

I hope you pull through, kid, jesus christ

Norg 01-02-2023 10:01 PM

Glad the NFL called off the rest of the game. Scary stuff.

Prayers up for Damar. Can't believe it - never seen an injury that seems this critical before. Certainly never one that resulted in a postponement/suspension of a game. Hope he pulls through.

Mindfulness 01-03-2023 10:06 AM

hope that bills player is okay :(

Just saw the news

Chula Vista 01-03-2023 10:46 AM

Everyone should know how to properly perform CPR - for both adults and little kids/babies.

No doubt it saved the guy's life last night.

SGR 01-03-2023 02:51 PM

Here's a link to Damar's charity if anyone feels inclined to donate. It's now almost at 5 million.

Chiefs clinch the one seed! (how bout those CHIEEEEEEFS?)
Jags win against TEN, Jags going to the playoffs!

Anyone catch the Chiefs "Ring Around the Rosie" huddle play? They're legit the most fun team to watch in the NFL. Harlem Globetrotter style.

As per usual. They haven't won a damn thing since the mid 90s besides meaningless divisional titles.

Tom Brady and his Bumbling Bucs are gonna embarass them next Monday, and Jerry Jones will fire Mike McCarthy. I think they'll hire Sean Payton if it happens.

You would have loved the 90s.
Had to look it up, it's been 26 years since their last appearance.
Might want to consider a new team....

I've been working 12-14 hours days on this behemoth since I started and my eyes are about to pop out of my head. Good thing I have vision insurance.

Bears got the 1st round draft pick with the worst record they've ever had. Nice.

I'll see y'all in the looney bin.

Actually, the 1969 Bears were even worse at 1-13. And they had Gale Sayers and Dick Butkus.

I was 3 and my memory only goes back to 1985. Otherwise I'd forget things, like who won bud bowl 8.

SGR 01-12-2023 03:49 PM

Okay Bears fans (Mindy/Plankton) - there's chatter going around that the Bears should use their draft pick to take a QB in the first round - what do you all think about that?

Personally, I think they should build around Fields, but I'm not a Bears fan. I think the kid deserves a real chance with weapons and protection around him.

F#$k the 1985 Bears!!!!!

:finger::finger::finger:

They humiliated the Patriots in the Super Bowl that season.
Actually, they humiliated a lot of teams that year!

I say keep Justin Fields and pick a good running back

Plankton 01-12-2023 05:53 PM

Fields needs some protection with a good O line. He's got a good taste of what he's capable of, so build on that.

SGR 01-12-2023 08:10 PM

Ok, I'm not crazy then. These sports media pundits and even Ryan Poles dropping hints ("I'd have to be really impressed to draft a QB first round") was making me think I was.

rubber soul 01-13-2023 06:12 AM

Some bozo here suggested trading Lamar Jackson for Justin Fields (and I assume a first round draft pick). Jackson's all but done here but a trade with the Bears makes no sense for any of the parties.

I'm a Chiefs fan, hoping we can have a nice little rematch of Super Bowl 54 this season. But ****, if the Chiefs have to play the Chargers, I'm gonna get nervous.

SGR 01-14-2023 09:27 PM

Yeah that was pretty wild. Bad calls on the Chargers though, leave Bosa alone.

Predictions for today?

Cinci > Baltimore
Bills > Miami
Vikings > Giants

Chula Vista 01-15-2023 08:35 AM

Ex Jaguar Maurice Jones-Drew on NFL Game Day at halftime:

"It's halftime. The Chargers are up 27-7.
The most Chargers thing to do is allow the Jags back in the game in the second half game and they win on a last-second field goal."

STING!!!

I think I'd agree with all of those except for the Giants. I think the Giants are gonna upset the Vikings.

Cinci and Baltimore will be close. Cincy will prevail.

And Miami right now is giving it to Buffalo, but Buffalo will still (unfortunately) probably win in the end.
