Thanks Bat. My initial hot take of their censorship being a comfortable middle-ground for me may need some revision and nuance injected into it based on this.

Air Canada CEO says he's lived in Montreal 'without speaking French' for 14 years


One of the biggest news stories in Canada at the moment.

I used to despise anglos living in Montreal and refusing to learn French but these days my gf is an American who I've accepted is never going to learn a foreign language and I still want her to live in Montreal with me so I guess that means my stance has softened.
