I don't get that kind of art. If it needs to be explained how it's a social commentary or whatever she's going for, it defeats the purpose.

Not if the purpose is secretly to separate the Philistines from the worthwhile people.

it wouldn't hurt if you wrote a couple of gospel songs.

Not the first time it's happened. Pretty much the same scenario here:

I just read that the pilot who crashed the plane told his girlfriend a day before the crash that "I'm planning a heinous act that will be remembered forever."

If he somehow survived the crash, if his girlfriend testified that he told her that, that would earn him 149 life sentences in prison.

DwnWthVwls 03-27-2015 10:31 PM

He didn't do a very good job. Terrible? Sure. Remembered forever? Doubtful.

"he didn't do a very good job"? How can you even say that? He'll be remembered forever by 149 families for their rest of their existence, and the airline of the plane he crashed has already instituted new changes for the door mechanism, so he'll be remembered for that too.

DwnWthVwls 03-27-2015 10:56 PM

Well for starters, once the media isn't shoving a topic down Americas throat the story tends to disappear. Second, 9/11, Flight 370, Flight 800, etc etc... Also, how often do you associate technological advances with the heinous acts that inspired their creation?

Nameless 03-27-2015 11:03 PM

He'll be remembered by several nervous flyers in the future if nothing else.

Well I clearly remember the creation of a sub-branch of the Department of Homeland Security in response to the dearth of safety measures enforced prior to 9/11, and everybody knows the name of the agency now: the TSA.

I am unfamiliar with those other two off the top of my head.

Cheryl Rios stands firm: President should be male - CNN.com

Quote:

The female business owner who declared on Facebook earlier this week that women aren't fit for the U.S. presidency stood by her views Saturday, citing "hormones" and a "biblical background."

"That's how God wanted it, and again, it's my belief and how I run my household and how I am," Cheryl Rios, the CEO of Go Ape Marketing in Dallas, said on CNN's "New Day."
I wasn't aware that God had any specific comments with regard to the US presidency. Good thing he OK'd female CEOs though apparently.
