I don't think so. I think he's taking stabs at all other rappers

khfreek 06-03-2011 10:22 PM

It was a good video, it's not amazing but I have no complaints.

could be. that's the problem with subtle type disses.

Nicki does that BS but Lil Kim when straight for her head so you had no confusion who she was talking about.

Tyler is going to be featured on "The Games" next album, the song entitled "martians vs goblins"

Quote:

"Oh yeah, Tyler [The Creator] is on the album. I forgot about him. He ain't really doing features for nobody. He feels like **** everything and I don't blame him either. It's a California thing, and I got respect for him and his hustle and what they're doing and just being kids and being rebels for the cause...And he respects me for doing what I did for California and the West Coast, I guess."
Thats cool maybe?

supermarlin 06-04-2011 12:51 AM

That is VERY cool, do we mean The Game as in Mr. I-Hate-50-For-Giving-Me-A-Career?

They squashed that beef long ago and The Game didn't like how 50 was trying to control the career that he gave him.

DoctorSoft 06-04-2011 02:31 AM

Sick video, love the ending.

Lol, yeah, I'm aware of that, I'm a fan of The Game, I just find hip-hop beefs humorous.

they are marketing tools until people in their crews start taking it seriously and believe it is more than that.

it's not so humorous when a person in one crew believes all the hype and starts busting caps at someone else in another crew.

supermarlin 06-04-2011 04:05 AM

I think it's funny that people are so stupid as to take it to that level. I mean, don't they think 'this is all just stuff being said on a song, no-one is really caring'. I also think that it shows insecurity in the artist if they have to go lashing about at other musicians just to establish their own name.

Nah, I don't think it's insecurity but it's a strategy to get attention and it works!

well for the most part.

Sparky 06-05-2011 01:56 AM

Plus it's pretty serious, especially the whole biggie and tupac incident yikes

CHCl3 06-05-2011 04:46 PM

Transylvania is a real hidden gem on this album. That beat is the essence of badassery.

he should warn people in the audience before pulling some crazy stunt like that.

khfreek 06-05-2011 10:57 PM

stage-diving? lol, the running start is the warning

Are you kidding me? Muso's have been stage diving since at least the 70's and no-one either wants nor needs a warning. Audiences LOVE a good stage dive.

B.o.B.'s also said he doesn't take the "beef" seriously.

And B.o.B. doesn't need to lash out at Odd Future to get his name out, he's already an established artist.

it's not about lashing out it's just about responding to something said about him.

I don't think it's hidden, it's one of the standout tracks imo.

FaSho 06-06-2011 07:15 PM

Tyler broke someone's nose stage-diving at SXSW. It was chill though...

khfreek 06-06-2011 08:21 PM

I would kill to have my nose broken by Tyler the Creator stagediving...

Just for the record i was joking when i said that. I hate to be the guy who has to explain his own jokes, but i wanna reassure people that of course stage diving is ****ing cool

Also that "**** school" song came out like 2 years after earl got sent to wherever the **** he was sent

supermarlin 06-07-2011 12:29 AM

khfreek, WIN :)

djchameleon 06-07-2011 02:06 AM

People are always going on about Radicalz (overrated) and Yonkers that I really never hear anything about Transylvania.

Nah man, Radicals is their second song to use that line.

Sparky 06-07-2011 09:40 PM

huh i guess they lost some street cred then?

thats a good tune i can't believe i skipped over it before

crash_override 06-12-2011 01:36 AM

Finally picked up GOBLIN.

Have to say, other than a few prime verses, it's not that great. Still shows a lot of potential for Tyler is the future.

supermarlin 06-12-2011 05:10 AM

bob sucks dick.

Surell 06-12-2011 09:17 AM

I highly doubt he's better than Tyler, Earl, or Mike G, or funnier than Taco or Jasper. Hodgy's average from what i've heard so far, i'll give you that.

Btw I'm seeing them at Pitchfork Music Festivalllllllllllll!

khfreek 06-12-2011 12:01 PM

Pitchfork has a music festival? lol

I think Hodgy and Earl are both better than Tyler

tbh, i haven't heard enough to judge, but from what i've heard in his mainstream hits, he's really not that good. is it like his mixtape stuff/stuff before he got famous is alot better? cause if you could provide some examples that'd really help.
