well i think the word "unofenssive is a little off, but the thing is mainstream pop music is programmed almost always the same way, which i guess is "formulaic". but the thing is the reason most mainstream music is popular is cause the labels basically shove it down our throats, instead of fighting it most people accepted it that's basically how rap took over

Not well, my friend, not well!

I wouldn't say that's an unpopular opinion as far as the masses are concerned, clearly both have a ton of fans. But it's likely an unpopular opinion amongst this small sampling of people.

maybe i should have included a "most of the time" in there. how many offensive mainstream pop songs have you heard lately? and it sounds like you are a bit bitter about the whole rap thing. its rise is owed in large part to people enjoying it. and what isn't shoved down our throat? as long as you have some connection to media outlets your perceptions are probably influenced by them somewhat(YOU ARE A ROBOT BEING TRAINED BY MAD MEN).

well i'm not really considering numbers of fans, i'm moreso going with the idea that i like STP more than Nirvana, AIC, or Pearl Jam.
