I own in hard copy... (I listen to NONE of these anymore, obviously.)

Hilary Duff's debut album
Kelly Clarkson's debut album
One Simple Plan album
Two Good Charlote albums

Used to own but gave away:
Two Billy Talent albums
One All American Rejects album
Hedley's debut album

I KNOW. Wtf was wrong with me.

glastonelle 05-29-2010 11:08 PM

its okay seemeseizethesae, we all know how it feels (;

seemeseizethesea 05-29-2010 11:55 PM

I'm so glad I got over that stage. <3

glastonelle 05-30-2010 12:14 AM

I reckon we should get all your listed albums, add my two hideous Shania Twain ones and have a bonfire. Only way to truely get rid of them (;

AleG 05-30-2010 08:10 AM

I bought my ex-girlfriend (current at the time) MCR's Welcome To The Black Parade album. She dumped me the next day.

Curse you MCR.

OctaneHugo 05-30-2010 08:13 AM

You deserved it

Charlemagne 05-30-2010 08:19 AM

I have on hard-copy

3 Linkin Park albums
2. Backstreet Boys albums
2 'Nsync albums
about 12 NOW Cds (I used to collect them when I was little)

and they are all still in the CD case in my room...I got to fix that.

George Micheal's 1988 album (grammy winner) 'Faith' is one of my favorite albums, never did care for Wham.
I also like the single 'Church Of The Poisen Mind' by Boy George & The Culture Club. :shycouch:

You gave her a MCR album.

Sentience 05-30-2010 09:04 AM

I love Roxette, A-Ha, Alphaville and Cyndi Lauper.

And I asked my mom to buy me Enrique Iglesias' cassettes for my 5th birthday.
I listened to them almost everyday for years...

James 05-30-2010 12:53 PM

^I also love A-Ha

Bulldog 05-30-2010 01:02 PM

Cyndi Lauper's awesome.

On that note, it's high time to grace this message board with a video of her's again :D

Air 05-30-2010 01:09 PM

I recently found my old Taking Back Sunday: Louder Now album, and listened to it.....and kinda liked it.
=|

Riloux Gartier 05-30-2010 03:48 PM

I like Bananarama. =/

TheCunningStunt 05-30-2010 03:52 PM

I own a Amy Winehouse album :( oh the shame. I really should get rid of it from my iTunes.

Zer0 05-30-2010 04:03 PM

Some embarrassing albums still lurking in my cd collection:

The Darkness - Permission To Land
Sum 41 - All Killer No Filler
Lostprophets - Start Something
Nickelback - Silver Side Up

I really like those Sum41 and LP albums. The song "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" from that Darkness album is amazing

so there

I deleted all them albums a while ago, except for Nickelback. I've always found them to be a bit terrible.

The Darkness isn't THAT bad of an album, I just never listened to it and thought meh. Delete. I used to really quite like it though, once you got used to the singing.

I used to like them at first when the album was released, but when 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love' started getting played endlessly on the radio and music channels the over-exposure started to make them incredibly irritating, especially Justin's voice. I agree that they're not terrible but thank christ i've discovered better music since.

I was in year 8 when that song was going about the place, so I wasn't bothered. I used to watch music channels back then so any song I liked that came on was a good thing, but yeah not terrible but thank Christ they're in the past.

I own every stereophonics album (not embarassing for me, but most people here would reguard it embarassing)

I have Stereophonics greatest hits, which isn't embarrassing cos their greatest hits is all you really need. 5 or 6 okay songs and that sums the phonics up.

Zer0 06-01-2010 09:28 AM

I used to have Performance and Cocktails and J.E.E.P. but i've since given them to my little sister who likes them somewhat. Performance and Cocktails was a good album at the time and i really enjoyed it but i found J.E.E.P. disappointing even as a 14 year-old. I haven't bothered with them since.

FETCHER. 06-07-2010 08:56 AM

I also went to see them on March 2nd :) yay.

Unrelenting 06-07-2010 10:08 AM

I really like Lights

YouTube - LIGHTS - Saviour [OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO]

rammetal7 06-18-2010 03:35 PM

I admit that I like Good Charlotte's "Predicable".

Nadia 06-18-2010 03:42 PM

'The Young and the Hopeless' was pretty much the soundtrack of my childhood... at least, up to about 13 =P
And I also own 'silver side up'...

Is Lostprophets considered embarrassing on here? Cos I like them :)

rammetal7 06-18-2010 03:45 PM

I also admit that like Jimmy Eats World's "The Middle".

So do I. I like to pretend it's something normal, but I fear it might not be...

My flatmate and I used to rather enjoy the Scissor Sisters first album. But only when the other flatmates weren't home. His analogy: "Liking this album is a bit like cross-dressing. It's wrong on many levels but when you're on your own you can't help yourself". I was already in my 20s. I don't even have an excuse.

Insane Guest 06-18-2010 05:16 PM

It's your life, like what you want to like, **** them.

homesick.alien 06-19-2010 07:14 PM

It's funny because people in real life don't actually think any of these bands are embarrassing e.g. Paramore, Owl City, Good Charlotte, etc. etc. In fact most people listen to them regularly

But online in music forums my god if someone finds out you like Green Day... shunned for the rest of your cyberlife aha.

Sansa Stark 06-19-2010 07:19 PM

The Middle is a great song, off a great album

wtf

TheCunningStunt 06-19-2010 07:24 PM

Keane
Kooks
Paramore
Jimmy Eat World
Lostprophets
New Found Glory
You Me At Six
A Day To Remember
etc.

I know people that like all them bands. Fucking atrocious the lot of 'em.

rammetal7 06-19-2010 07:34 PM

I like Green Day but only from everything before American Idiot.

Dookie and American Idiot were both their best albums IMO. American Idiot was just overexposed, after a while you think if I hear When September Ends one more time I'm gonna kill someone. I never understand Green Day hate, I know people that are REALLY into Punk might dislike them. Most proper Punk fans can't stand what they see as pretenders. But Dookie for me was as good a Punk record as I've heard. *Crawls back under rock.*
