I tend to be pretty inconsistent, but I'd say about 1-2 hours of actual listening where I'm paying full attention, and about 3 or so hours of background listening a day. This varies quite a bit, sometimes I'll go days without listening to music and others constantly listening to music. I think its because most of my friends aren't huge on music, almost to the point where they are annoyed by it unless its really accessible, but some of them are extremely anal and annoying about it. Like that one friend that got annoyed at me for quietly playing Black Moth Super Rainbow out of my laptop speakers. He said "Ughh, turn down your annoying... sound effects." I've been in these kinds of musical testicle twisters (I know that sounds homosexual, deal with it) with him before, so I just turned it off. Most of my friends are cool in every aspect except music.

I've been listening less in the last few months, but when I do listen, its a good, no interruptions listen, I think its because I've gotten into a lot of bands like Kayo Dot where I like to listen to the entire album from start to finish with no interruptions. One major problem I have with listen to more music is the lack of some sort of mp3 player so that I can listen on the go.

i have a garbage car and home audio system so most of my listening is through the cans on the computer or ipod, not really all that much i care to listen to in a day anyways.

probably 1-2 hours, 3-4 on high traffic days.

It really depends on the day, sometimes it's all day, sometimes it's only for an hour or two, but I do listen to music every day.

All day at work, 9-10 hours, and always in the evening unless watching a movie, whenever in the car or walking around.

For me it isn't really based upon an hourly time frame. It's more along the lines of how many artists I want to listen to in one day. I tend to track how many albums I to through in a given day, although it does depend on what I'm doing.

I mostly just listen at my house or in my car, and anywhere else I just sort of tune it out. One reason for this is I like the difference between music that I'm interested in, and weighing that with the sounds of real-life/real world. Also, I really, REALLY hate passive listening. Either I try to give things a solid 70-80% concentrated listening effort, or I don't listen at ALL. It's too important to me to just regulate sounds to the background. So I absolutely will NOT listen to anything at work or while I'm doing errands because it's just easier for all parties involved, lol.

Finally, I'm also a drummer, and after practicing for a few hours whether on a practice pad kit or the real thing, I gotta take a break for my ear's sake!

So..(since I forgot to include it) I guess I currently listen to about 2-3 albums a day, barring the occasional podcast or news feed.

At max, I'll go through about 7-9 albums a day, but then again I listen to a lot of live concerts, so what I would constitute as one single album is actually 2 + hours of music (give or take).
