I swear that people who have never smoked cigarettes and smoked one or been in dire need of a pick and found one have never experienced true bliss. I can go without a pic but when I pick one up I can play some sweet ****.

TFW you're jamming on the synths at Guitar Center and all the employees gather round and watch you play for a while. I think they liked us. We had a spectator when me and my friend (let's call him Jorge because that's his name) Jorge were playing the acoustics as well and on a good one. Glad to hear that people would like my music if I could afford it.

simplephysics 02-16-2015 05:26 PM

That feeling when you're constantly forgetting Christian Bale is actually British. His American accent is more convincing.

tfw a manager-in-training, who was openly sexist, homophobic, and unashamed of either of those traits, including the fact that he enjoyed saying awkward, inappropriate shit to a staff that's 97% women FINALLY GETS FIRED.

....but it was over an issue that wasn't related to the numerous sexual harassment complaints reported to actual management, because they needed solid proof (in this case, video evidence of him doing something questionable with merchandise) that he wasn't a great person.

"proof".... because a staff of women can't be trusted...

Yes!! We were all rejoicing in the break room. Even the lone (well I guess he's got a bro now - they hired a new kid for him to mentor) dude in our Badass Lady Structure seemed pleased with the news. (Then again he's smart, and he respects women.)

Ebay is your friend. I got 100 or so heavy fender picks for 10 dollars. Now I never have to worry about losing a pick, hell I find them in my pants, jackets, and sweaters now so if I want to play a friend's guitar without asking if they have pick and trouncing through their room to find them. Seriously, it a great investment, I still have over half left in the pack too.

No picks for my nylons or Uke's, but I usually need one for some heavy stuff on my electrics, and I wanted to blow off some steam.

Well hey, thanks for the tip.

I've got dozens laying around all over the place, it's just that I couldn't find one at the moment. Hell, I could go to our singers house where our practice room is and find a couple dozen on the floor around my amp area.

Black Francis 02-17-2015 10:53 AM

TFW you take a big toke and cough up a storm and then feel relaxed and at peace.

The Batlord 02-17-2015 12:26 PM

TFW you look at the sex offender registry just for ****s and giggles and find out some guy down the street was convicted of "aggravated sexual battery" against a minor.

simplephysics 02-17-2015 01:34 PM

There is literally a sex offender hot spot in close approximation to my city's children's museum. What the actual ****.

The Batlord 02-17-2015 01:36 PM

I'd give a shout out to my child-diddling neighbor, but since he lives so close to me it might not be wise to put his info out there. Seriously, take a left two houses down, and go about two blocks and you're in Sex Offender Land. There's two within a one block radius maybe a mile away in another neighborhood, so I guess it could be worse.

simplephysics 02-17-2015 01:44 PM

A discription of a sex offender down the street from my parents, which in a relatively well off area of the city..

Marks/Scars/Tattoos: tattoo on butt (right/ "your name");tattoo on groin ("pigo kwangu")

WHAT

Mine's a 22 yr old white kid. Pigo kwangu translates to 'blow me' in swahili. How charming. Couldn't imagine how he ended up as a sex offender.

tfw you're a skilled poet but you're too shy to show anyone any of your work so you'll leave a legacy behind.

That feel when new headphone ear pads (comfy velour), hooking up a JDS labs headphone amplifier with the mythical bass boost and pumping the volume. So nice.

Hey it's not my fault. I was just sneaking into an elementary school girl's bathroom cause there wasn't any TP in the house.

tfw you have your first wet shave in about six months (beard included) and feel like one of the blokes on the Gillette adverts.

#Suave

Mondo Bungle 02-19-2015 05:11 PM

TFW ~400 mg of caffeine and nothing but ultra fast ****

Frownland 02-19-2015 10:49 PM

tfw you have to wait for 6000 other people to download an album from soulseek before your turn

Chula Vista 02-20-2015 08:47 AM

TFW you call the person who's been cutting your hair for the last 17.5 years to tell her you cut all your hair off and will be not be coming in to see her anymore.

Was actually a bit emotional.
