i don't think i have the patience for RPG's anymore. the last couple years i have tried all of these and not particularly enjoyed them(or even got half-way through): Fable, Fallout 3, Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age: Origins, and a few i forgot. i did like WoW but i have control issues so that had to go(not to mention it is more of an action game than anything in my mind).

they are remaking nba jam for wii. i need to get this bad. that game was awesome back in the day.

Oh man I loved that game to death. Wii version? That would be retarded sweet! |

And then I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition of New Vegas, and it's gonna be on like neckbone. Also, I'm playing... Tales of Vesperia Army of Two (with my friend. It was like 6 dollars.) The Orange Box (Amazing deal. Played the **** out of it, for so long). Eternal Sonata Final Fantasy XIII Call of Duty 2 (still the best CoD game to ever be released) |
Still playing LittleBig Planet. I'm looking for more people to play with and almost none of my friends own a ps3. I'm down to play pretty much any time, so if anyone wants to play online with me, send me your psn name and I'll add you.

source or 1.6?
|
That looks like source, if I remember correctly that's the wallpaper on the first selector screen.
|
yes but he didn't specify and may have just googled or something.

Source. I refused to play it for the longest time; 1.6 was where it was at. One weekend, it was on sale for 5 bucks and I figured it was about time for me to give Valve the benefit of the doubt.
|
i was in source denial for a while too.

It's just a shame that Blizzard are one of the few companies that we allow to get away with stuff like this. |
i doubt they would have done this if WoW wasn't so huge.
|
Definitely not, with the money that cash cow is bringing in... However with any luck the expansion packs will be released sometime within the next six months, or at least one of them. I find it hard to believe that in 12 years all they managed to do was one campaign. Blizzard must be pretty busy right now working on Cataclysm and Diablo III.
Speaking of episodic gaming, god dammit Valve where is my Half-Life 2: Episode 3???? |
Quote:
But I think they still try to do whats best for the most people. I wouldn't blame them so much as I'd blame modern culture. 15 years ago videogames were for nerds that never grew up, and younger nerds. Playstation sees an opening in the adult market and blows the roof off the place. WoW's recent expansion sucked some monster ass. I'll give you that. I loved that game for the last 6 years but these days its killing me slowly. With Starcraft, this new version was like their Chinese Democracy. 12 years and a ****load of pressure. I think they're doing whats right here, and I'll reserve judgment for the final and total game. That being said, the Terran as the best race in the game. Suck on it, or I'll nuke your ass. |
Quote:
1. It wasn't the perfect gem it is today when it was released. 2. There was no pressure for it to be good. 3. They worked on that game for 5 years before they released it. 4. After 5 years of work, they didn't jump right back in. They probably gave that team another 5 years of a break. I can't even imagine tweaking something that has no precedent for 5 long years. I'd need a break too if I had to do that. |

i don't have a huge problem with the episodic stuff. the campaign on this has like 26-28 levels so say about 90 missions total. i wonder if the expansions are going to be cheaper. or maybe they will add new multiplayer modes or something. would be kinda lame to pay $60 just for some missions. i bet they stretch it out though. next xpac at least a year off.
and i have been meaning to play HL2: e1 + e2 for a few years now(since i got orange box). i loved half life 2. probably the best adventure shooter i have ever played. so many awesome levels. |

i'm at the final mission in the campaign right now (going to finish it once i log off from here) and i haven't played a pc game that's kept my interest this much since the original SC back in the late 90s. as for the single player being split apart, yeah it's kind of lame but at the same time i think it was the easiest solution to get the bulk of the product out there. it was either release last week or not for another year or two. it's not like they have to re-invent the multiplayer for the next expansion, this way they can just focus on another interesting campaign. my biggest gripe is that the single player gets you used to playing with X amount of units and building types then only offers you Y units and upgrades in multiplayer. as for the idea that they 'wouldn't' have done things this way if it weren't for WoW? consider the amount of time and money they dumped into creating a Warcraft graphic adventure that got canned, or Starcraft Ghost - which got developed and scrapped - TWICE. all before they ever released WoW. they don't do things their way because they have a license to print money, they do things their way because it's how they're always run their company. |

You don't need a good rig to play SC 2 do you? The original is one of the few pc games i played the **** out of just because my computer could run it. looking forward to seeing the new CG cutscenes as well |

as for the specs the bottom of the box minimums are... Windows XP with DirectX 9.0c 2.6GHz P4 or equivalent AMD processor NVidia GeForce 6600GT or ATi Radeon 9800 Pro or better graphics (basically it needs shader 3.0) 12 GB hard drive space 1 GB ram and yeah, the cutscenes are SWWWWEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeettt |
Anyone who has a PSN account, send me your PSN name so I can send you a message that if you read it, I can get free money for PSN. If you do, I'll tell you how can get free money as well.

Currently watching a couple friends playing Nazi Zombies on Call Of Duty. I don't get why people like this game so much, but they seem to be having fun, so w/e.
I rented both Tekken 6 and Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time, both are fun, but the latter especially. |

http://librarygamingtoolkit.org/ssbb.jpg was over my friend's place last night and we played this for a couple of hours. had a blast |
