its just stuff thats i was used to after playing fallout 100+ hours, longer loading times, bad framerate.Except i havent played for nearly as long

It's a relatively well known problem with the game. Bethesda are working on fixing it.

Someone should mail Yac a new BBCode suggestion, something like this :

BBCode Usage : [imgs={NUMBER}]{URL}[/imgs]

HTML Replacement :

Help line : Image with defined width (px). Usage : [imgs=width in px]Image URL[/imgs]

Yeah sorry, those were kinda huge :-/

It's been screwed up for my brothers game too. It's a pretty unacceptable bug if you ask me.

When you have a game as big as Skyrim/Fallout/Oblivion it's kinda hard to catch all of the bugs.

Thats why Bethesda generally gets less flack when these games come out. They usually fix the bugs pretty quickly too.

Edit: "They usually fix the bugs pretty quickly, too."
Skyrim Patches submitted for verification on PS3 and 360. PC Patch coming soon, also.

Getting a Kinect for Christmas. Well excited.

debaserr 11-22-2011 03:17 AM

I got into the Star Wars: Old Republic beta apparently. I wish I could trade this for Diablo 3 beta, I'm not planning on getting SWTOR.

No idea when I can actually play, downloading installer.

Assassins Creed worth buying? Spending too much time on FIFA at the moment, need a break.

LoathsomePete 11-22-2011 09:46 AM

The first one is pretty repetitive with the missions and there's not a lot to do outside of the missions, but you need to play the first one in order to understand the story and move onto the vastly superior second one. I'd say give it a go if only so you can beat it and move on to the better ones.

I think Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood has made the Assassin's Creed games among the finest game series ever. I'm confident that the upcoming Revelations will kick ass!

Playing the first might be a good idea, but I figure you could skip it and start with the second game. It does give you a good idea of what's happened in the first and I reckon that if you read the story from the first game on wikipedia or something (not sure how good that article is, but), then you should be good to go.

edit :

Wow, just found out Revelations been out for a few days! :D

Goofle 11-22-2011 10:07 AM

Yeah lol

So I shouldn't jump right into the new one? Buy the others as well?

Redguard, lvl. 15, 14 hours in, shit's real son.

Howard the Duck 11-25-2011 09:04 AM

spent two exhaustive hours on Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 2 on my SNES emulator

both pretty good, although FF2's graphics are kinda basic and the controls a bit wonky

s_k 11-25-2011 09:05 AM

I downloaded skyrim because everyone is so crazy about it.
It's got a nice atmosphere to it, but all the questions you have to ask, all the talking.
And graphically it isn't brilliant either. The villages are great, but there's games that's so much more pretty.
I think the genre just doesn't fit me.

Are you playing on Xbox? It looks fantastic on the PC's higher settings

s_k 11-26-2011 04:09 AM

Playing it on my PC :).
Still doesn't look that good if you ask me.

I just started playing MW3 by the way. Usually these games are not my thing. I lack strategic feel and I'm dead withing 2 minutes into a mission. Set the **** to as easy as possible. And yes it's easy. But I love the graphics, the environments are so detailed, the missions are filled with action from the beginning to the end, the physics are absolutely brilliant. The engine is epic as I cannot fathom how my old PC can run this very beautiful game SO smoothly. I'd say this game is flawless if it weren't for the error message I got. The solution to the problem was actually going through a building rather than going across the street. There was an actual bug in a level. Vintage :D.

Howard the Duck 11-26-2011 04:16 AM

gonna play Earthbound later on (SNES game)

Goofle 11-26-2011 07:53 AM

I am blistering my fingers to get all the stars on Mario 64. 97/130 so far.

Got Super Mario Galaxy Going on my Wii Emulator.

Skyrim isn't the crowned king of graphics or anything, but that's not what the game is about.
But, if you're in the market for great graphics, environments, physics and engine... you should have skipped MW3 and went with BF3.

s_k 11-26-2011 03:55 PM

Too hard for me. I know, I'm weak.
I'm usually not that much in the market for graphs. A game can have other things that are appealing to me. But Skyrim is a bit too slow for me, I guess.

Yea, it definitely takes quite a bit of a person's time.

Have you beaten Zelda? Still haven't got a chance to play it.

debaserr 11-26-2011 11:43 PM

I'm about 2/3 through... which is a ton of Zeldaing. I'm taking a few days off from adventuring for now.

Thom Yorke 11-26-2011 11:58 PM

What do you think so far? Is it OoT or Windwaker-good?

debaserr 11-27-2011 12:26 AM

I like it better. The gameplay is so much better than any other Zelda.

You download the emulator (Dolphin) and you download ISO images of the games. It's not legal, just so you know :)

Goofle 11-27-2011 07:04 AM

I have finished every Zelda other than Majoras Mask which is the most painfully hard game. You need a walk through.

Anybody got any suggestions for the Steam Autumn sale? Preferably something under £5.

I'll get back to you on this.

Too late, I bought S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and the Overlord pack. They had better be good enough to keep me off New Vegas for a while.

The first Stalker?

Very flawed game in my opinion, but the setting sort of makes up for it by being very intriguing. The zone, what goes on there and it's history is one of my favourite fictional game settings, actually!

Goofle 11-28-2011 01:57 AM

Dead Space 2 and Limbo would have been my suggestions.

Howard the Duck 11-28-2011 01:58 AM

my PS2 is fucked so no games for a while

wondering if i should repair it or just go get a 360
