I thought "irony" was an adjective of "iron", like: I was hit over the head with a skillet [ouch] it was irony.

No it is not.
Irony (from the Ancient Greek εἰρωνεία eirōneía, meaning hypocrisy, deception, or feigned ignorance) is a situation, literary technique, or rhetorical device, in which there is an incongruity or discordance that goes strikingly beyond the most simple and evident meaning of words or actions.

It wasn't so much about what was said as much as it was about me not knowing how far you take things, so I said it as a precautionary measure. I already know Right-Track knows the limits.

Anyway, I wasn't trying to come off as an asshole or anything. I'd just prefer to say something before it possibly gets ridiculous.

This was totally my fault Freebase.
My original comment wasn't a dig at SBWNik and should have included a wink smilie.
Something I have a habit of not doing with members who know me better. My mistake.
Rocknroll_Animal butting in didn't help matters.

My apologies to SBWNik.
