This album is simply one of the best death metal albums of all time. Shows that you don't have to embrace Suffocation/Cryptopsy style brutal death metal to be ****ing intense. This album simply eviscerates your ears and hands your bloody cochlea to you with a disturbing smile on it's face.

I was never really a big fan of Stratovarious, but I gotta say they're starting to grow on me. This instrumental is pretty good. They're better without the vocals. Gotta check Episode out.

One of the best bands in the history of power metal.

Speaking of sludge. The other night the user BTown was in the Shoutbox and asked for some sludge metal suggestions since he likes the Melvins. I gave him Old Man Gloom, Man Is The Bastard, and Black Tusk.

His reply was "I'm kinda scared now, I think I'll just stick with the Melvins."

Cause you know, The Melvins are so laid back.

Yup. Happy music for happy people.

Well, I'm no Melvins expert, but all of the stuff I've heard has been pretty dark. And I'm guessing that just about anyone who gets started with the Melvins probably starts with Boris or Houdini or another one of their early records.
