I don't have my hard copy anymore, but I got thirteen Iron Golems with a random encounter generator set for level 20 in a temperate gentle hill terrain. Pretty sure they'd win because they're ****in golems and all these protestors have to work with is their beliefs and maybe some molotiv cocktails.

donjon; d20 Random Encounter Generator.

Yeah, I know, its pretty dumb to give away a 40 dollar book like that. But I thought I'd never play again. Good generator though.

No, I mean I have no idea what that post is about.

Agreed. I clicked the link and was even more confused. Something to do with DnD?

Making light of the Ferguson crap by randomly generating a monster and debating if it or the rioters would win in dice based combat.

Are you trying to say you want to be our pimp?

Carpe Mortem 11-26-2014 10:47 AM

Are you saying you seriously think the rioters would win? Dude... they're golems. They have high resistances to most elemental damage, insane strength and admirable constitution. The rioters have at best a number of crude weapons possibly augmented by the fervor of their cause.

Because if you spend too much time thinking about it seriously your brain explodes?

I know you're kidding but it's a serious topic and shouldn't be made light of.

DwnWthVwls 11-26-2014 05:09 PM

Making light of a situation is a coping mechanism too ya know.

John Wilkes Booth 11-26-2014 05:20 PM

i'm honestly tired of hearing about the ****. we fixate way too much on random court cases in this country.

GuD 11-26-2014 05:34 PM

This isn't exactly random... the same reactions follow these sort of things every time they happen. And they continue to happen. You don't have to pay attention but those who do have a good reason to.

John Wilkes Booth 11-26-2014 06:03 PM

i thought so too but after reading about the incident it sounds like the kid acted like a maniac and got himself shot, and all this racial hype is really more of a counter productive distraction than a march towards progress. hopefully something positive like cameras on cops or whatever comes out of it but really there are way more important things to worry about and the president has to address this kind of ****... irritating.

Chula Vista 11-26-2014 10:19 PM

For the record, when I said shut off all of the cameras earlier I meant all of the network cameras - which I truly believe are fanning the flames big time.

Conspiracy alert: After the verdict was read the other night it was pretty calm for about 30 minutes and then all hell broke loose. I can almost imagine a field reporter telling their lackey to go and pay some smuck $50 to light a car on fire so they'd get some juicy footage.

This is a sickener. I don't watch cricket so I don't understand how someone can bowl a ball at you face on yet the ball hits the back of your head and kills you?

That bowler's gonna be in bits hope he gets all the support he needs.

i feel the same way. honestly i hate every time we fixate on one court case as a nation. **** never goes well for us.

I'm really sad about this. Coming from a cricket crazy country I just feel so sad that this freak accident occurred. He was a fantastic cricketer and I can't imagine how tough it is for the bowler. I'm worried he might end up in a horrible situation with mental anguish that he might not be able to control.

Wpnfire 11-29-2014 08:53 AM

The thing is, "freak accident" is kind of a misdirection (no offense Vanilla). Cricket pitches are around 90 MPH/144KMH? For comparison, baseball pitches are thrown that fast, and the last person who died from being hit in the head by a pitch was in 1920.

1920.

Huges is, what, the second person in a couple years to die from a being hit by the ball?

^ that's a terrifying statistic.

Something needs to come from this in regards to how cricket players are protected. Clearly, a helmet alone does not cut it.

I think a better question would be "what does this guy eat?"

I'm guessing it comes in powder form.

But if you give them too much padding they become less mobile and end up getting hit more. And a cricket ball is a hell of a lot harder than a baseball.

DwnWthVwls 11-29-2014 01:22 PM

Maybe they need softer balls. I know nothing about the sport, does it really matter if they use a baseball like ball instead of a rock?
