well really, christianity, judaism and islam all have their bithplace in the same city, jerusalem. Considering how all three religions pretty much branched off of the same group of people, it makes perfect sense. It's unfortunate, given the history of wars between all of the groups, because after all the wars and conflicts, its impossible for either side to look at it through the other's point of view.

except in their minds, the land was just as much theirs as the arabs. Before the zionist movement, the arabs lived in backwards hellholes with no medical or technological advancement. The arab fellaheen exploited the lower class arabs terribly. In a lot of ways, the jews coming to palestine from europe in the early 1900's greatly improved the arab's situations. by the time WWII rolled around, there were almost as many legally attained and established jewish settlements as there were arab settlements, so how can you say the jews had "no right" being in palestine?

You have some right to be on some **** piece of land because your ancestors also happened to be there a couple hundreds years ago (never mind the fluctuation of geopolitical boundries) and that means that others who want to come live there have no right, despite your not wanting it. Lovely way of looking at things.

Maybe you should just do that anyway instead of making vaguely aggressive posts on the internet.

Just a suggestion like...

i'd just like to comment on the "fighting a loosing battle against a much more powerful enemy with powerful protectors" part. Immediately after the second world war, the arabs were in an FAR more powerful position than the jews in every way. They far outnumbered them in population, finanially they were backed by some of the richest regimes in the world, britain was selling them state of the art arms ands munitions and preventing the jews from buying arms ANYWHERE by putting diplomatic pressure on virtually every other country who were sympathetic to their plight. When the brithish finally did pull out of palestine, they left the majority of their fortresses loated in key strategical positions to the arabs. After the jews declared statehood, they wanted nothing more than to live next to the arab communities in peace, and the arabs attacked, murdered, and destroyed numerous jewish settlements (many of which were comprised of elderly, ulta orthodox jews who had no ways of defending themselves) completely unprovoked. How the hell were the jews the ones with the power in this situation?

The u.s.s.r. was also helping out Egypt specifically I think it was, which was antagonizing Israel fairly early on.

^yeah, that was basically the whole arms and munitions thing again. pretty much every islamic country poured their resources and armies into fighting the jews in palestine. The problem was, each country had a dramatically different way of going about it, and none of them could ever cooporate enough to form a cohesive and effective army, a fact which the jewish army used to their advantage.

well, hats down to the jews for whoopin the arab arses in a situation that was not so promising, i'm still in awe at the way they won those arab wars.....
and of course, i was reffering to the more recent situation in which the palestines have gotten themselves into....

Here's your answers, hobojesus.

No - it isn't. I am totally astounded at your confidence to tell someone that they don't understand the concept of natural human emotions, because you obviously don't. I am incredibly annoyed that you have the bare faced ignorance to bring some else into this, and try to turn people against me, in different threads.

Well, you're so unpredictable that I don't know when you're being serious or not.

And I was serious in the previous post. If you want to carry this on, then it's fine by me.

For starters, people who have an interest in buses, fire engines, or any type of large vehicle are no different than someone who has an obsession with football, or fishing. I am not trying to be intimidaing. I know that intimidating someone online is as close as impossible as you can get. For one, you don't know who you're speaking to, and they don't know who you are. But offending someone is possible. Oh, and if you want to be intimidated by someone who is 'obsessed' with buses, don't turn to me. And don't make such silly comments - it's embarrassing for me to read them!!
