I personally don't think I can get bored of it.

Danny Brown - Old
http://www.vibe.com/sites/vibe.com/f...ld-artwork.jpg Can't wait to give this one a listen. I was surprised at how much I liked XXX, but I won't be surprised this time if I like this one. |
good music
yeah these suggestions are definitely nice but from a production stand point acm sounds higher quality, its a reason all these artists rely on acm , check it out at soundclick.com/acmglobal or angelocortezmusik.com productions are so good you dont even need words. :yeah:

Luxuria - Unanswerable Lust My first vinyl, and I don't even have a record player yet. Just love it so much (and was cheaper than a CD). |

Sebadoh - Defend Yourself (2013) Two listens so far, and honestly it's not disappointing considering it's been 14 years since their last release, but I'm also not in love with it. Nothing has really stood out to me yet, but maybe with a few more listens, something will. http://rymimg.com/lk/f/l/76ed16045f8...2c/4872402.jpg Why? - Golden Tickets [EP] (2013) I've only taken one listen of this so far since mid-September when it came out, reason being that I didn't find it very good. That's too bad because I really like this band. I'll try again soon. http://rymimg.com/lk/f/l/58335824cb3...a4/4776565.jpg The Dodos - Carrier (2013) Pretty good mellow indie rock in the vein of Grizzly Bear, though it lacks the strong emotional connection that the Bears are capable of. A few strong songs such as "The Current", "Destroyer", and "Death", which happen to be consecutive tracks in the second half. http://rymimg.com/lk/f/l/1c8f4ffd668...70/4879095.jpg Machinedrum - Vapor City (2013) I'm really not into this "footwork" direction but I've been listening to Machinedrum for some time, might as well give it a shot. I've played it a few times and think I like it better than his last one, Room(s). http://rymimg.com/lk/f/l/b39b528c297...e8/4404409.jpg Great Lake Swimmers - Ongiara (2007) I've been intending to listen to this band for quite some time. I put the album in a shuffle list recently and a few songs really grabbed me. As a whole it's also really good and will be in rotation for a while. http://rymimg.com/lk/f/l/81b6ea4a994...d2/4775759.jpg Pond - Hobo Rocket (2013) Not sure what I think of this quite yet after a first pass. It's a bit of a mess, as was some of the material on their last one. I think I found more immediate melodies there than here, though. I'll try again one of these days. http://rymimg.com/lk/f/l/2322424cfdd...44/4080011.jpg Sun Kil Moon - Ghosts of the Great Highway (2003) Finally got around to this after intending to for many years. "Carry Me Ohio" is great. http://rymimg.com/lk/f/l/6279f4d38e0...ec/4849626.jpg Fuzz - Fuzz (2013) Ty Segall's latest group, this one sounding quite Sabbath and quite good. http://rymimg.com/lk/f/l/4f15ea2438f...fb/4937521.jpg Mail the Horse - Great Kills (2012) I don't recall how I discovered this band, especially since it's been several months that I first added this to my wishlist. They don't have much of a following (an understatement with 55 listeners on last.fm). And considering, this is surprisingly good. Some tracks bring to mind "Salt of the Earth" type Rolling Stones (particularly "Dance Alone"), others bring to mind early Elton John as well. I could probably safely describe it as Country Rock genre, though being modern some might call it indie folk/rock with a splash of Americana. |

Iceage - You're Nothing (2013) Only heard this once all the way through so far, but had it in a shuffle list for a while so certain songs had already grabbed my attention. Pretty noisy but some nice melodies can be found. Goes by pretty quickly, which is not really a bad thing. http://rymimg.com/lk/f/l/9bd976aab86...c2/4727287.jpg Bass Drum of Death - Bass Drum of Death (2013) If you like Ty Segall's garage style and JEFF the Brotherhood, you'll dig this. Unless everything you listen to must be original. Great hooks. http://rymimg.com/lk/f/l/7be5699ccee...6a/4926191.jpg Sons of the Morning - Speak Soon, Vol. 1 (2013) First release from the collaboration of Prefuse 73 and Teebs, on P73's new label Yellow Year Records where he plans to release collaborations with Nathan Fake, Nosaj Thing, Dimlite, and others, and probably more with Teebs as Sons of the Morning. Just downloaded this today and about to start my first listen. http://rymimg.com/lk/f/l/44bd195e2d9...0/4853051.jpeg Polvo - Siberia (2013) Their second reunion album, four years after 2009's great In Prism. Looking forward to hearing this one, I really enjoyed the last. |

Blue Sky Black Death - Glaciers (2013) Hopefully this will help kill the time while I wait for Tim Hecker's new album to drop. http://i2.wp.com/deadendhiphop.com/w...size=460%2C360 Deltron 3030 - Event II (2013) I already gave this a listen a few weeks ago from Pitchfork and found it to be a pretty decent album, nothing mind blowing but a good little album. Perhaps not as amazing the 13 year wait would seem to indicate, but it's not like the Del, Kid Koala, or Dan the Automator were just sitting in a room throwing pencils into the ceiling tiles during all that time. The fact that it had the potential to be another Chinese Democracy and averted the fate of that ill conceived album are reason enough to celebrate its release. |
Ultravox - Systems of Romance
Ultravox - Vienna Talk about a serious compare and contrast - getting into the sounds of John Foxx's sharp, controlled, and stylish forward thinking (for the time) that was taking Ultravox in the right direction while still keeping a good amount of the first album's punch and then hearing Midge Ure taking that band into a pompous but still very melodic and strong sound that has it's attraction although remains over-reaching compared to what happened before topped with Ure's somewhat annoying reaching for the high notes. I may be a bit of that "First Three Albums Superior" listener when it comes to Ultravox, but I still have time for Vienna, Rage in Eden (although I laugh like crazy when I hear the words of "The Voice"), and the singles after that. PS...Vienna (US edition) was a Cut-Out! Could this single the return of a certain blog I was doing? |
Earthless - From the Ages (2013)
New album from San Diego instrumental heavy psych power trio "Earthless." Four songs clocking in at just over 65 minutes for those of you who like loud, blistering heavy psych jamming (and great album cover art!) http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/...ps9e06ca80.jpg http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/...ps27ea60f2.jpg |
Came over to my parents house and my dad found something at my late grandmothers house. It's one of the coolest vinyl records I have now and I'm getting it framed and putting it on my living room wall:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...StarWarsLP.jpg This is by far one of the coolest things I've ever gotten that's related to Star Wars. -In case you weren't aware, i'm a humongous Star Wars nerd- |
"Bastards Banquet" a Rolling Stones bootleg of studio outtakes from 1968-69, mostly from the "Beggars Banquet" recording sessions. Excellent sound quality throughout.

Been listening to some Rihanna albums lately and enjoying them somewhat. Some brilliant stand out tracks (generally singles).

Salamander - Red Mantra (1998) I heard this band a long time ago and got the impression it was some kind of neofolk, but nope. Except for the first song, "Earthbound Animal" (which is a bit neofolky), this is actually some delightful psych. I don't know what to call it, maybe neo-psychedelia, with some folk, space-rock. The band this music reminds me of is Bardo Pond, at least in this album and the first one Red Ampersand from 1997. That album has an even more dense sound. Actually, I wasn't so off with neofolk. The third album I'm listening right now - Birds of Appetite (2001?) has a distinctively dark psychedelic folk quality, is more mellow and ethereal. Very good so far. It looks I'll be listening to this band a lot. |
Strand Of Oaks - Pope Killdragon
http://570minefire.files.wordpress.c...killdragon.jpg I go back and give this album a listen every 5 to 6 months or so and it sounds just as amazing as the first time I heard it. He's a phenomenal storyteller and this album has the saddest and greatest song about Dan Aykroyd ever on it. |
Another must-have bootleg for Rolling Stones fans. A 2-disc set of studio outtakes from 1968-1972, with the majority of tracks from '68-'70. Sound quality is superb!

Tim Hecker - Virgins (2013) I absolutely adored his 2011 album Ravedeath 1972 and from everything I've read on this it's suppose to be just as good. Can't wait to give it a spin. |
Tedeschi Trucks Band - Made Up Mind

Shpongle - Museum of Consciousness (2013) I can't believe I missed this back in late July. Better late than never, although I do wish I had some drugs to go with it. |
Hehe, funny, I bought Museum of Consciousness last week and played it for the first time on Friday night trippin' on shrooms. Crazy album. Some of the sonic manipulation is breathtaking, particularly the voices.

Gary Clark Jr. Blak and Blu. I love this album so much. He mixes blues, neo soul and R&B so effortlessly. I love that he also plays so many instruments as well on this album. Lead and rhythm guitar, bass, drums, programming, trumpet, percussion and congas. https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/i...oI4nrDXwT6mitQ Trivium - Vengeance Falls(Special Edition) Haven't listened to it yet but it's queued up next. http://2a56b976980e0793ddee-5cc5435f...Ryan-Adams.png Fall Out Boy - Pax Am Days EP http://krnb.com/wp-content/uploads//...13-630x349.jpg TLC - 20 I feel like this barely got any press or maybe I'm just living under a rock but I had no idea they had a new album coming out and I just stumbled across this. |
Paul McCartney - New
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...ngle_Cover.jpg Just released yesterday and Spotify got a hold of it so i'm listening to it in full now. Already love it. |

Oranssi Pazuzu - Valonielu (2013) Happy I found this album. I quite enjoy this Finnish group's blend of psychedelic rock and black metal and this was an album I didn't even know had come out. |

Guess I've been sifting through a lot of industrial-electro-metal-EBM-whatever lately. It's exciting delving into a genre you never thought you would.
http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/...susAnimals.jpg Angels vs Animals - Front 242 This is certainly one of their more conceptual albums. Gives me a feel of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon in EBM form. Worth a listen. http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/...jinn/index.jpg Nitzer Ebb - Belief This is where EBM gets dance into the mix. Some tracks are a miss... well maybe I didn't enjoy as much but it picked up after Control I'm Here. Drive also stood out to me, spaced out. So did Lakeside Drive. |
^personally i prefer That Total Age....but Control I'm Here is possibly one of the greatest songs written in the genre :)
http://shopmngmt.virtuallabel.biz/me...ere1_copy1.jpg Swans - Not Here/Not Now so once again the boys in Swans have released a limited handmade live/demo album to help produce their new untitled album with 7 buying options raging from $40-$500....i went with option 4....so for $100 i get a copy of this album, a copy of the new untitled album in my mailbox before the street date, and forever as long as said album is in print my name will be credited as "executive producer" for a mere $100....can you guess what everyone i know is getting for Easter, Birthdays, Mothers day etc etc etc? |
Fugazi - The Argument
Nope, still can't get into this band. Snooozer. Repeater is OK, though. That's all I got. |

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-O...SlowCrimes.jpg
The Work - Slow Crimes (1982) I heard this album once last year and totally forgot I had it. Not because it's forgettable, more cause I'm forgetful. This is some strange, schizophrenic blend of post-punk goodness and ...hm, avant-prog, rock in opposition. Well, it was founded by Tim Hodgkinson from Henry Cow and...the other guy. For those who like post-punk more experimental, this should be fun. It looks like I can't find individual songs from this album on youtube, but look, there's the whole album (My favorite track is "Pop") Spoiler for slow crimes:
Oh, how come direct links now translate immediately to embedded videos? When did that happen? |

The last album I bought was 'Yeezus'. I know a lot of people didn't like it but there are a couple of good songs on there. I'll probably pick up something new in the next week or so.

I finally bothered to get an invite for What.CD via an interview, so I got these albums earlier this evening:
http://rymimg.com/lk/f/l/9eb9f806771...ab/4902071.jpg Blue Sky Black Death - Glaciers This is a pretty damn good downtempo album, although I'm going to give it a few more listens later this week. http://rymimg.com/lk/f/l/7633a97b454...8b/4463002.jpg Hijokaidan - Hatsune Kaidan I'll just say it right now: the only reason that I got this is because I personally find the fact that this exists to be hilarious. It's a Japanese noise album with Hatsune Miku's (a program that creates a synthesized voice that's usually used for J-Pop tracks) vocals thrown in. My expectations aren't really that high, but this should certainly be an interesting listen. http://rymimg.com/lk/f/l/0a85ebc6291...9d/4913265.jpg Knxwledge - Kauliflowr It's about time that Knxlwedge released a new LP. Out of everything that I got that I haven't listened to yet, this is probably the album I'm looking forward to the most. http://rymimg.com/lk/f/l/30a9d4d0651...2b/4144338.png Masafumi Takada - Dangan Ronpa Original Soundtrack This is currently one of my favorite video game soundtracks, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get this. http://rymimg.com/lk/f/l/e169403df43...43/4775650.jpg The Prize Fighter Inferno - Half Measures EP Anyone who knows me pretty well probably knows that I am a massive fan of Coheed and Cambria, so it was probably inevitable that I'd check out Claudio's side projects. |
http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/50...ustry+laik.jpg
LaikIke1/Młodzik - Milczmen Screamdustry Polish rap album that I kind of enjoy a lot. Slightly boring in parts though. Not sure if it is a duo (as their title suggests) or just a single artist. |
Placed my order for this today. Pretty excited!

Belle and Sebastian Tigermilk. It may be their best and is very beautiful record

William Shatner - Seeking Major Tom (2011)
The third studio album by William Shatner, featuring an all-star cast of musicians playing a variety of covers and a couple of songs written by Peter Schilling, William Shatner & Adam Hamilton. The covers of "Spirit in the Sky," "Silver Machine," and "Bohemian Rhapsody" are the highlights for me. Shatner's cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody" in particular, is a must-listen (IMO.) http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/...ps251cf51b.jpg http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/...ps862144ee.jpg |
