I love Russ Wilson, so I was pulling for Seattle all the way once the Vikings were eliminated.
Hey, how bout Kaeperscratch eh? NFC Conference Finals, dropped 45 on GB and now looking at a shot at the title if they can beat Atlanta (and I definitely think they can). |
Yeah I'd like to hear what Blooz has to say about Kaep now.
|
I'd say 17-31 pass attempts, 2 tds, 1 int, for 263 yds, is a solid way to not lose the game for your team and start building some staus. I actually didn't get to watch the game so I hate speculating on it but his stats look good. However there's one more to go in the Georgia dome and then one on the biggest stage of the them all. I like their chances if they can keep their momentum going and not get overly confident before the Falcons game. Going to need an excellent game plan and scheme, and if they meet back up with Belichick in the super bowl an even better one than that. They definatley have all the tools and talent. And if Kaeperscratch can continue to help them score big points when they need it, and not turn the ball over at critical points in the game they're golden. So in short, Ol Kaps off to a good start.
I think more than ever though their deffense needs to step up big and not put so much pressure on #7. I think they match up pretty good with Atlanta (as good as you can anyway) and just need to come up with some blitz packages and schemes to keep Ryan as confused as possible. I dont know exzactly how much poise he's capable of if he gets rattled early in the game. Make someone besides Gonzalez beat you cause thats where he's going to try to go if he starts getting into trouble. I think tempo is the key in this one and sticking to what they do best, like running the ball efficiently and setting up play action down the field...also some designed runs with Kaeperscratch. Attack them early on both sides of the ball and again, establish the tempo. Make Matt Ryan beat you with his arm and make him do it under duress cause I dont think he can. Even with his cast of talented recievers they have and the home field advantage. I see the points San Frans capable of putting up but I just dont think thats the angle you want to try and keep asking a young QB to win with. This is when coaching and game planning is so critical to me. Games like this can easily be lost thanks in part to poor preparation and under estimating your opponent. Hit'em early and hard and pound it out the second half with good ol fashioned hard nosed pound it down your throat with Frank Gore football. |

I agree with your post overall. You should watch the game. Stats tell a big part of the story, but Kaep really delivered one of the most dominating playoff performances ever. Out of his 13 misses, there were three drops by Walker and one he should have come down with in bounds. Crabtree had a drop to go along with another stellar performance and Kaep had a couple throw aways due to some pressure. 178 of his record setting 181 yards came untouched by defenders. It was amazing. Hopefully he can continue this because if he can...RGwho?
Also the big key to beating the Falcons is the secondary. There wasn't really any pressure on Rogers the whole game but the secondary played lights out in not letting big plays and getting Rogers off the field on third down. They have to repeat this against Ryan. |
Another player says the patriots are cheating. Honestly I empathize with him even if most aren't
2013 NFL playoffs -- Brendon Ayanbadejo of Baltimore Ravens bashes New England Patriots on Twitter - ESPN Quote:
|
I'm not disagreeing but rather asking what exactly is New England doing wrong? I just don't see it.
|
hurry up offense that doesn't let opposing defenses substitutions and time to line up
linemen, especially older ones, really aren't conditioned to play that many consecutive snaps without getting off the field |
Dude you really have it out for New England man. There are other teams that run the hurry up, New Englands timing is just better and their execution. I know you have said its against the rules but again there are others teams that do it too, just not as effectively as the Patriots. Dont hate on'em to much they haven't made it to the super bowl yet. They still have to beat Baltimore.
|
other teams don't have the luxury of having the same personnel year in and year out to focus on the hurry up.
Nobody runs the hurry up even a quarter as much as the pats. Peyton Manning runs his huddle but still allows time, he beats you with audibles and reading the field. |
The Patriots are constantly using **** to throw you off. That prowl scheme on d, the no huddle on o, spygate, etc.
BB is just a really good strategist, but the no huddle strategy definitely seems cheap. |
Don't like it? Stop it. The patriots haven't won a Super Bowl in some time so there is a flaw in the whole same personnel logic. Teams have figured out how to beat them. Don't be mad it wasn't one of your teams. I'm using the word you in a generalized manner. I'm not pointing either forward or sparky out directly.
|
I think the Patriots still catch a lot of crap for all those years of winning they have. Much like any team thats good for long periods of time will.
|
they didn't win it last year simply because of injuries. Gronkowski was out there even without being able to run.
Their scheme wasn't nearly as refined as it is now. I'm not saying new england is incapable of being beat, they just have an unfair advantage. |
I honestly dont think they have anymore of an advantage than any other team does. Well besides having Brady and Belichick. They usually have a roster of no names that get plugged into spots on the team and coached into good players. I think they do the most with the least amount of talent of anyone in the league actually. They dont have a overly flambouyant over payed bunch of cocky criminals out there trying to hurt people with an "its all about me attitude" Which if they did I wouldn't care I'm just saying. I get why people dont like teams like the Cowboys who's value as a franchise is crazy and have the money to sign however many of who ever they choose. But the Patriots are pretty low key and un star struck so to speak. Its just not their style and it seems to work for them..with the exception of Randy Moss playing for them at one time. Who I hope has a huge game if they meet up in the super bowl this year. I like the 9ers and the Pats but assuming thats who makes it there I'm rooting for the 9ers just cause of Moss. If the Falcons go then I'm going for the Pats. If its a battle of the birds then I'm pulling for ol Ray Lewis.
|
This had me rolling.
|
This isn't the kind of unfairness you can stop, they can just keep doing it again and again and it gives them an advantage. Why do you think the 49ers blew a 30 point lead against them? They got worn down by no huddle. Unless you can consistently force incompletions from Brady, you're not going to stop it.
Really, the defense is at a disadvantage as it is. |
What's up with Manti Te'o? His dead girlfriend never existed. Wtffffff.

There was an interview with his dad a while back, and he said that he took her to Hawaii. He is involved for sure if he got his dad to go along in this imo.
I don't know, could he even possibly lie to his dad about that? Maybe he's gay. |
As it stands I think my preseason pick with my buddies of NE vs SF looks like it might have some merit.[/QUOTE]

hopefully flacco pouts real good and lets the ref's know he doesn't like it when he gets hit

If ray lewis is crying it's merely because the tears of the patriots player he's is crushing have somehow been dispersed onto his face.

Anything can happen especially in the playoffs but I dont see the Ravens beating the pats. Flacco's to inconsistant to put much faith in and in big games inparticular. Their D just isn't what it use to be either even with Ray Lewis. Of course stranger things have happened in the NFL so ya never know. I know some people who are predicting the Ravens are going to win because the league wants to see the Harbaugh bros in the super bowl. Like its going to be a conspiracy to insure a 9ers vs Ravens super bowl. Not quite sure what to think about that...
|
Joe Flacco post season:
12 touchdowns 2 interceptions I'm a conspiracy nut but i don't know if i believe that one. The NFL has sent the pats to the UK a lot, I think the NFL likes Tom Brady and the pats as "america's team". But yeah, i really don't think the ravens can win either, I'm trying to be facetious. I do think it will be a better game than falcons/49ers. I think san fran controls that from the begginning |

Been seeing and hearing all about this Manti T'eo thing so I just looked it up on espn. Wtf? Who ****in cares? How is that even a story? I was expecting some deep seeded scandal of some sorts but this crap? I'm still not exzactly sure what's so interesting about this unless I'm just missing something here. Either he had a fake girlfriend or he didn't...is that the gist of all this? What is this, a freaking football days of our lives soap opera episode? So what if he was lying and so what if he was telling the truth. Big effin deal
|
It's abnormal, we dig that.
|
Oh your one of those guys eh...big suprise. Its just not even a story really I mean a fake girlfriend? So what...I think the drama T.O. brought to the field was more exciting to watch and hear about than this. The same with the Lance Armstrong thing, so he lied all these years. Wow, I could give two ****s if the dude was cheating or not personaly. If its drama make it good drama to at least justify the publicity it gets in the media. Abnormal yes...deserving of making such big ripples in the sports world..no.
|
That's pretty harsh. By "We", I meant the public at large. I was definitely interested to hear a bit more about the Te'o case, just because how strange it was. I've never been one to obsess or watch coverage on news events (unless the Daily Show and Colbert count).
I assumed Lance was guilty a while back. Plus, he's always been such a dick that I also assumed that his apology would be a surface level PR stunt. |
I thought you were just being a smart ass actually..my bad. Anyway I just saw a story that could be extremly detrimental to the 9ers super bowl victory hopes. Crabtree was accused of sexual assault, and this is not the kind of thing you want surrounding your team at this point in the season. Hard to even speculate on cause of course there are very few details at this point but none the less a very serious matter.
2013 NFL playoffs -- San Francisco 49ers' Michael Crabtree voluntarily meets with cops - ESPN Sports Nation poll was 70% to 30% in favor of Kaepernick getting to the super bowl over Ryan. |
Well ladies this is where we get to see what ol Kaps really made of. Down early by 10 points so far and has to play from behind. Exzactly what you didn't want him to have to do this game. I'll say this, if Kap leads them to victory on the second biggest stage of the NFL season. He definately will have earned my respect for life and I hope he does. Thats what champs do is win when the odds are stacked against you.
|
17 14 now. I really hope the 9ers make it because I am not quite sure if the Pats can beat the falcons.
|
24-21 now. I will say Kaps showing great poise so far and not getting rattled by the noise at the line of scrimmage. This is turning out to be a great game.
|
we're going to the fucking superbowl
I'm hysterical. |
