Well, kind of, but I have a very long list now, so if you want to throw one on it, fine, but it'll be a while before I get to it.

As for Hitler, I prefer the neon kind like in my sig...

Or this one.

Serious question. And I admit I was a dick in our last exchange.

Why no outrage over the most recent EPIC derail of your thread and specific mission statement for the thread.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter. Just wondering.

As for albums, how about this?

Serious answer. I don't mind derailments; I don't expect people to just talk about the albums here and nothing else. I pull threads off-topic myself all the time, it's part of the fun. If every time someone said something off-topic I came down on them hard then your recent accusation towards me would be true. But I want people to have fun, and really, in all honesty, if you look into my rules you'll see the vast majority of them aren't rules you have to follow, they're just the guidelines for how I run this thing, ie Albums I hate are in Red, three done at a time and so forth. There's actually little there that could be really called rules I'm asking people to adhere to.

I only really get annoyed when someone makes out they believe they know how I should be running things here, or puts me or this thread down. In all fairness, I'm putting a lot of work into this, always have, and it seems only fair to allow me run it as I see fit.

Other than that, derail away, as long as the conversation eventually gets back to the albums being discussed, which it usually does once I put a new review up.

As for your album, as I said to Pet_Sounds I'll add it but it's gonna be a while before I get to it, as you'll see if you check the list.

Water under the bridge, as far as I'm concerned, my friend. Life's too short.

Good to hear. As I get older (55) I find it harder to rail in the occasional dickedness.

Life is indeed too short.

Ironic, really.

I have a renewable prescription. Let me know if you ever need any. You'll only have to pay the postage.

Title: If You're Feeling Sinister
Artiste: Belle and Sebastian
Genre: Indie Pop
Familiarity: Zero

1. The stars of track and field: Interesting for me to discover there is neither a Belle nor a Sebastian in this group. Also interesting, though in a different way: it sounded very heavy to me, then I realised I was still playing the Fear Factory album I had been listening to last night! Bit of a difference, huh? Now that we've settled into the right album, this is very gentle soft indie pop. It's okay but a bit weak I feel.
2. Seeing other people: This is better, more uptempo and with a really nice piano line. Quite boppy. Also very catchy. The instrumental fadeout is great.
3. Me and the Major: This one's very good too. Is that harmonica? Cool. Can't really go wrong with a harmonica.
4. Like Dylan in the movies: Great little bass line in this and again it's a very memorable, catchy tune. Uptempo again. Have a feeling the next one will be a ballad?
5. The fox in the snow: Not quite. Slower sure but not really what I expected. Nice song though.
6. Get me away from here, I'm dying: Very jaunty, given the title. Great guitar in this.
7. If you're feeling sinister: Oh but I really like this. Kids playing in the background? Yeah, like Mo, the laughter of children is like a dagger in my heart, but sure Supertramp did it on “School” so why not? Very folky.
8. Mayfly: Another uptempo, nice organ backing it. Also, nice solo on ... something, not sure.
9. The boy done wrong again: Not mad about this one; bit whiny. Violin is nice but it's quite depressing. Really brings you down after all the poppy goodness
10. Judy and the dream of horses: Picks up nicely with this closer.

End result: Pleasant little album. Wouldn't send me out searching for the rest of their discography or anything, but very enjoyable. Would probably listen to more (though not here).

So, Love or Hate? I'll confirm YD's prediction and give this a Love.

Can I be annoying and ask you to swap the Sun Ra for my new album. Cheers, here's the link: https://thedeafaids.bandcamp.com/album/rainbow-grey

I'm actually interested to hear your new album, so yeah, sure. Done.

I should really refer you to rule 12 though. I think these will be the exceptions. No more personal albums please. Thanks.

I missed out on a couple random, super brief rec sessions and there's now like 40 albums to get through before I can get another one in @_@
